before y'all decide to read this, MAKE SURE YOU ARE READY FOR HEARTBREAK . i don't care if that's a spoiler but im warning you guys... the second book was brutal. but of course, i decided to continue this cuz im in the mood to cry and be depressed so all is good in the world
like im fineee. just- fine. lol jk its raining and im listening to drake right now and he has me feeling some type of way.
Della and Ren are so UGH. they're just so adorable oh my god. their innocent love for one another and how they would literally do anything for each other while they're surviving made me tear up a little bit but obviously all this wholesome content went down the hill when they met Cassie and her family.
(spoiler) i think some of y'all will find this annoying cuz Ren (H) has sex with Cassie and a lot of OWs the last half of the book. obviously i hated this but i understand their circumstances. Ren was 10 years older than Della and when they met Cassie, he was like 15/16 and Della was waaay too young. but just a warning, and there are a lot of scenes here with Cassie. even when Della gets older, he wouldn't stop hooking up with ONS because he thinks he is sick for even lusting (or loving) Della when he practically raised her his whole life. she didn't lose her virginity to Ren tho as she lost it to this random dude thank god for that.
anyways, since i know what's gonna happen in the second book, I. AM. PREPARED. and this is literally me right now:

found a spoiler from the second book by accident and i don’t think im emotionally ready to read THAT 😂. and im just not in the mood for unrequited and OW scenes right now sooo... maybe i’ll continue reading this if i wanna be depressed.

I was an emotional wreck after reading the second book. They're brilliantly written but heavy on the soul. I passed on reading The Boy & His Hope for now because I'm not ready for more painful stories.

More pain is an understatement. The second book is brutal. I couldn't stop crying after I read it. I had to take a day off work the next day because I was an emotional mess.

oh dear.. i don't think im ever gonna be ready to read the second one then cuz im already too attached to Ren and Della !! i think imma read it when i absolutely feel nothing 😂

He also feels bad when he founds out about the om?"hmm idk if she suffers cuz when he's with OW for the first time she's around like 5-8 years old 😅 but she did feel possessive of him cuz it was only the two of them before they met the OW and her family. but when shes like 17/18, he sleeps with OWs for a year cuz he feels like a creep and he think its sick that he's thinking of the h that way cuz he was like a brother/father figure to her but he never takes them home. and yes he does!! in the second book, he even sees them about to have sex cuz he was "stalking" her and he saw them

This book TORE ME UP. I've never been so moved by a book about 2 kids. Sorry it wasn't a 5 star read for you. I seriously bawled my eyes out, and loved Ren SO HARD.
omg i finished the second book a few days ago and im still writing my review LOL i have no rating for it cuz i can't choose between 1 or 5 stars!! that's how mad and sad i am !! i know i said i was ready to be depressed but clearly i was not 😂
do not get me started on the second book. it killed me. first and only time I gave PW a one-star review. I was so crushed I couldn't see straight. I literally made up my own ending in my head. I kept thinking how could those characters go thru all that and have that ending...
I KNOW RIGHT!! Della literally felt unrequited pain in the first book and now shes gonna go through with THIS her whole life?? i just can't. also, there wasn't even a foreshadowing in the first book?? at least i think soo? idk im just sad and angry :(
