This was my first, but definitely not my last, Agatha Christie book, and I truly loved it!
It was a wonderful mystery that kept me guessing the whole way through.
I really liked the structure of the novel. Each character getting their own chapter was a genius idea, it really helped me to get to know them. All of them seemed realistic and well developed, which was surprising, considering the amount of people and the rather short length of the book.
The writing style was very atmospheric and enjoyable to read. It matched the genre perfectly.

HY lovely review!! i've watched the movie but haven't read the book yet!! definitely need to pick it up some time soon :)

Arav This was my first Agatha Christie book too, and like you, I found this books quite enjoyable to read, especially on cold and raining nights.

Bryce Coletti Anne, I really liked your comments regarding the short length of the story, yet the great detail included by Christie. Each character was given a large chunk of story and it made for an intricate plot to follow. I also was surprised, similar to you, that Christie was able to tell the story in only 200 pages. The fact that the book was unpredictable made it much easier to want to pick up and read in my free time. The way you described the book as “atmospheric” was spot on! A murder on a snowed-in train? This was a very intriguing and unique concept to me.
