Worth the Wait was everything I wished for and more.

Talk about an emotional journey, I smiled, I laughed, I cried, I swooned, I felt disappointment & frustration (looks at you Nick) and then I swooned some more.
Nick and Mia's story truly touched my heart, these two had been through so much and not once did I ever feel they shouldn't be together.

Nick and Mia were both wonderful/memorable characters.
Nick was passionate, loving, supportive, stubborn, and headstrong. After losing his parents Nick steps into the family provider/protector role, going from eldest brother to playing dad/mom to his brothers and baby sister.
My heart melted watching Nick with baby Hannah, he was so loving and tender with her. For a young man grieving he did a wonderful job raising her.

And then we have Mia, while I loved Nick and totally understood his pain and some of his actions, it was Mia's strength, love and support that made this book for me.
I loved her honesty and big heart, she loved with everything in her and to see her in pain, hurting and feeling less than broke me :'(



Watching Nick and Mia reconnect after 10 years apart was both heartwarming and frustrating. It felt like one step forward two steps back.
Nick needed to accept he couldn't change the past and to stop punishing himself if he was ever truly going to be happy.
With time, understanding, and trust Nick and Mia were able to finally move forward leaving the past behind and enjoy their second chance at love. These two truly deserved their HEA.



Author Claudia Connor has done a brilliant job of blending the past with the present. The storyline drew me in from the first page, I found myself turning the pages and reading it all in one sitting.

Worth the Wait is the first book in the McKinney/Walker series, and while it can be read as a standalone, I found myself already emotionally invested in Nick and Mia's story after having read Hannah's story in Worth the Risk bk 2 in The McKinney Brothers series.

Overall, Worth the Wait is an emotional and heartfelt second chance love story that will bring out all the feels and leave you with a smile on your face.

Looking forward to the next Walker brother finding his HEA ;)
