it was amazing
bookshelves: adult-nonfiction, history, survival

This objective and well written book is a shocking, infuriating, and tragic account of the events that occurred at the US State Department Special Mission Compound and the CIA Annex in Benghazi, Libya on September 11-12, 2012 as told to the author by the surviving members of the contract operator team who were there to help protect the Americans. It is a moving, unforgettable and riveting first hand account of the attack that is a must read for people interested in current affairs.

It's well worth reading, Laurie. It's hard to put down so I imagine you'll be able to finish it pretty quickly. So well written and truly is objective. I'll look forward to reading your thoughts about it! Hope all is well. :)

Cymiki Put the book on my goodreads after watching the movie, which was awesome!

Hi Cynthia!
I haven't seen the movie but heard that it was good....I put it on my Netflix request list! :). The book is very good -- I think it will be worth reading even though you already saw the movie. From other people I've talked to, they've said that the section in the book that gives a brief history of Libya isn't included in the movie. That history section adds a lot to understanding the the situation and culture. I learned a lot by reading that part.
Anyway, hope all is well with you! Take care..
