Deep sixing this one. Read only 14% so not rating it. Not feeling it and to be honest the dialogue just seems corny.

Amanda Bummer :/

Britany oh no! I just selected this one as my BOTM selection! :/

Diane S ☔ You may feel differently though, give it a shot. I just wasn't in the mood and didn't take to the main character.

♥ Sandi ❣	I am only one part in, but liking it so far. It moves pretty fast.

message 5: by Diane S ☔ (new) - added it

Diane S ☔ First part of the novel, I felt she was running around here and there and everywhere. When does she pack!

message 6: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer Masterson Life is too short for books that don't work, Diane! I hope the next one is a five for you! :)

message 7: by Canadian Jen (new)

Canadian Jen Good call! This one hasn't made it to my list and doubt it will

message 8: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer Onward and upward!

Melanie Next!

Chelsea Humphrey I truly wish I'd quit this one. You missed nothing and it only got more strange and awkward.

message 11: by Diane S ☔ (new) - added it

Diane S ☔ Yep too many better books out there.

Chelsea, awkward is a great description.

Sandysbookaday I can sympathise Diane...I read but didn't enjoy her first book. I thought this one sounded more promising.....but I wasn't approved for it (probably because of my review of her other book), but I guess I was wrong.

message 13: by Diane S ☔ (new) - added it

Diane S ☔ Didn't read her first one but like you thought this sounded interesting. I am sure it is form some readers. We are all so different, look for different things.

message 14: by Sara (new)

Sara About to remove it from the TBR. My list is far too long and I don't think I would be likely to enjoy a book that you had to DNF.

message 15: by Diane S ☔ (new) - added it

Diane S ☔ That's my mew motto, Steph.

Up to you Sara but do understand about huge tbrs.

message 16: by Joanna (new) - added it

Joanna gregg This one was on my list but after reading the kindle sample I skipped it for now. I read her last book and thought it was a little unbelievable at times and the conclusion was packaged so perfectly that I feel like I'll be disappointed again!

message 17: by Diane S ☔ (new) - added it

Diane S ☔ didn't read the first one and after reading the first part of this one will probably not pick it up again. If you read it, let me know what you think.

message 18: by Beth (new) - rated it 4 stars

Beth Brown So sorry you didn't care for the beginning. I truly enjoyed the book..but yes, don't waste your time reading a book that you're not enjoying ☺

message 19: by LA (new) - rated it 3 stars

LA Thank you!

message 20: by LA (new) - rated it 3 stars

LA Okay, I needed an audio to keep me sane while hauling a bunch of outdoor furniture and Halloween decorations around...and it was free on 3M cloud library. The dialogue was VERY stilted, but eventually, the protag stopped talking (yay!) and it improved.

Maureen Oh poo, wish I had noticed this before I signed up for a giveaway (and won).

message 22: by Dayna (new)

Dayna Made it to 7%. Can't stand it.

message 23: by Diane S ☔ (new) - added it

Diane S ☔ Glad I'm not alone, Dayna.

Millie I'm glad it's not just me. I am reading it because It came highly recommended by a friend but I am ready to return it to the library. This would be more of a thriller if Lo had stayed in London. I am eager to start Deborah Crombie's new book Garden of Lamentations. I am sure it will not disappoint.

Cindy I'm struggling right now (on page 81) but will continue to read as I hope it gets better!

Lesley Moseley Just received advice an ebook I was wait listed for has become available. Might just ditch this one..

message 27: by Diane S ☔ (new) - added it

Diane S ☔ I could not connect with the writing but you may have better luck. Might be better on audio.

Lesley Moseley NAH got sucked in, in the middle, then sneered my way through the tail end.

message 29: by Diane S ☔ (new) - added it

Diane S ☔ Sorry to hear that. May your next read be much, much better.

Shainlock Your review gave me the giggles and though I read this one I can see exactly where you would get that.

Lesley Moseley Diane S ☔ wrote: "Sorry to hear that. May your next read be much, much better."

Hmm next is The Family Next Door which seems to be on the same par....

Kathleen I think this novel was probably better on audio. The accent drew me in.
May you read lots and lots of great enjoyable books, Diane.

Diane S ☔ Thanks, Kathleen. Glad you enjoyed it on audible.
