Well, I guess that I am going to have to take back something I said about a week or two ago. I had stated that Susanna Kearsley's contemporary thrillers don't impress me. However, I have just finished this book and SK( Emma Cole) sure knows how to deliver in this book offering. Kate Murray, is a Canadian journalist covering a murder trial in London and is soon approached by a friendly and talkative older British man that claims he needs to talk to her. Kate is intrigued especially when she is told that she looks like her grandmother. But before she can press for more information, the man, Andrew Deacon, is killed in a hit-and-run accident. What happens next will take Kate to her Grandma's kitchen in Toronto, to being on the run in Lisbon, to sneaking around in Washington. All in the attempt to capture a killer .

Comment-vas ton ete, Erin? Nous esperons plus de pluie! I own all of Susanna Kearsley's mainstream novels except the newest and get to them gradually. They always have exciting, mystical plots but at least the first two are written with far too much indulgence in superfluous description. Like Kate Morton but not 100 extra pages, LOL! But I read in order because this is something I am confident authors improve and that better and better await us. You make this one sound great.Hey Julie! Yes, Susanna is from Toronto and only employed this pseudonym for some reprints of this one series. She is on the awesome Canadian author reference link of those I've read and reviewed. Hey Julie! As my fellow Goodreads reviewer, C, pointed out below, yes it is actually Susanna Kearsley writing under a pseudonym. She is Canadian and I would always tell a good reading buddy like yourself to check her out.

SK is one author that I just cannot say no to!
