Empecemos con lo bonito; me gustó mucho el hecho de que Stevie sea una protagonista con un cuerpo distinto a lo que se acostumbra a leer. Los prejuicios, inseguridades y datos sobre su cuerpo son reales y muy identificables. Yo no soy muy curvi pero por mis genes a veces si suelo tener problemas a la hora de comprar pantalones o faldas porque no me quieren entrar de cintura. No importa si me veo delgada, mi cintura no tiene nada que ver con mi estómago, y mi problema al comprarme jeans es un martirio porque me aprieta mucho de cintura, no me quiere cerrar o me siento muy apretada e incómoda en los muslos o "allá abajo" :') así que amé lo real que fue Stevie para mí con sus opiniones, inconformidades o inseguridad ♡
Eso sí, me hubiera gustado que ella no necesitara de que Zee le estuviera halagando sobre su cuerpo para que al fin Stevie empezara a coger más confianza sobre ella misma. Entiendo que muchos pueden llegar a iniciar así para luego ir alimentando esa confianza por sí mismos, pero a veces me hacia sentir como si Stivie necesitara la validación de un hombre (Zee, específicamente) para poder sentirse confiada :/
Ahora, el hockey... No hubo mucho de eso hasta el final y yo sí esperaba un poco más de narración o escenas de partidos pero no y bueno, sí es un poco decepcionante para mí ya que amo leer libros de romance deportivos.
Bien, ahora llega lo más controversial que posiblemente voy a criticar... Zee, nuestro querido protagonista masculino. Este hombre desde el inicio me dice que lleva yendo a terapia desde hace 10 años pero lo único que vi que mejoró sobre sí mismo fue su amor propio y confianza, pero todo lo demás parece que nunca lo tocó en terapia porque sólo le bastó una charlita y cerveza con el amigo y un corazón roto para ahora sí arreglar todo. Osea que esos 10 años que hizo terapia o fue un malgasto y no quiso poner de tu parte para poner sus cosas en mejor orden o bien tu psicólogo es pésimo (sin ofender Eddie pero literal solo te leí 1 vez). Y sí, puede que yo no sepa mucho sobre ir a terapia y que cada quien suele recorrer su propio camino y a su debido tiempo. Lo sé.
Pero es que a Zee sólo le faltó un mal de amor para afrontar sus miedos de una vez y de sopetón, uno tras otro sin descanso alguno. Hizo en menos de un mes lo que no hizo en 10 años. Todo por una mujer. Obvio también fue un poco por él mismo pero fue mucho más por ella y él no dejaba de repetirlo. Esto me hacía mucho ruido la verdad.
Y aunque estoy criticando mucho a Zee la verdad es que Stevie tampoco se salva de esos pequeños momentos que me parecieron muy co-dependientes entre ellos. Ellos pueden ser lindos y sexys juntos, sí, pero también un poco necesitados el uno por el otro, y no de buena manera.
Agradezco que fueran desde 2 puntos de vista o sino es posible que me hubiese gustado mucho menos :/ aunque aun creo que 200 o 300 páginas menos no hubiera venido mal.

La forma en como escribe Chloe siempre me gustará y el cómo nos muestra otras representaciones más allá de la sexualidad es maravilloso. Los personajes tienen cuerpos diferentes, costumbres diferentes, estilos de vida diferentes y muchas otras cosas diferentes pero eso no los hace demasiados diferentes entre ellos, no, al contrario, los hace unirse más y encontrar un equilibrio fantástico.
Y sí, ya sé, estoy diciendo demasiadas cosas bonitas pero le di 2 ☆ bueno, aquí van las cosas que no me gustaron:
– Willa es insoportable. Mil y un veces se le quiso justificar su forma nefasta de ser por sus traumas del pasado. No estoy haciendo menos su dolor, lo entiendo y comparto mucho de eso, lo que me molestaba es que se hiciera la víctima siempre y culpando a todo el mundo como si ella no tuviera parte de la culpa también. Me empezó a caer bien fue cuando llegué al 80% del libro.
– El profesor metiche haciendo una verdadera aproximación forzada entre los protagonistas. Y luego sale impune en todo ...more

• Cosas que no me gustaron (a mí):
1. Todas las hermanas están retraumadas y no me lo van a negar. Hasta es posible que las gemelas tengan por momentos alguna clase de síntoma de estocolmo (busquen qué es en Google si no saben) y eso es lo que me hizo sentir muy incómoda, disgustada y exasperada por muchas cosas y momentos. Todo era tan falso, ensayado, fingido, orquestado. Que familia más rota pero retorcidamente junta. Todo bien turbio la relación y "cariño" entre el padre e hijas.
2. Todo el problema amoroso o de coquetería me aburría de sobremanera y me entraba alta violencia cuando se notaba que estaban usando a la prota y engañandola pero la mija toda estúpida con todos menos cuando se encontraba frente al Cardan, ahí sí usaba la cabeza y sacaba su odio e insultos hacia él.
3. Toda la primera mitad del libro Vivi se comportó muy infantil cuando se supone que era la mayor y las otras dos en cambio parecían ser más maduras. No saben la molestia que me daba sus rabietas de niña resentida que odia al mundo, en vez de enfrentar de frente las cosas o largarse (si total siempre lo mencionaba). Obvio su personaje mejoró, creció, la comprendí mejor y fue agarrando un poco más de relevancia a medida que avanzaba la historia. Cosa que agradezco.
4. Locke me aburría. Para mí no hubo ni una mísera chispa entre él y Jude. Hablaba con una chulería y narcisismo ¿En serio Jude cayó por ese tipo? ¿En serio nunca le prestaba atención a sus acertijos como para dudar un poco o simplemente mandarlo a paseo? ¡Y además, cuántos no le advertían!
• Cosas que sí me gustaron (a mí):
1. Después del 65% me empezó a gustar más el libro. Los planes, peleas, batallas, tensión, secretos y el cómo resolver toda la mierda gigante que sucedía, fueron cosas que me mantuvieron muy pegada a la historia a pesar de que no me sorprendió tanto como debería. Pero igual lo disfruté mucho.
2. Admito que me desagradó mucho Jude toda la primera mitad del libro por sus actitudes o manera de querer encajar mientras se humillaba en el proceso y después se molestaba cuando no la tomaban en serio (ni yo te hubiera tomado en serio en esos momentos niña). Pero ya cuando ella empieza a aceptar la cruda realidad de que debe cambiar o volverse quien realmente es en su interior para poder sobrevivir a ese mundo... Let's go bitch! ...more

Un poco más de cerebro y fuerza de voluntad por favor. Pero a pasos cortos se llega lejos, o eso espero que pase a medida que vaya avanzando la saga, ya Liz plantó la primera gran semilla para el cambio. En su momento le hubiera puesto 3 estrellas o hasta 3.5 pero al echarle otra ojeada actualmente me encontré varias cosas a las que no le había prestado atención cuando lo leí de más joven. No planeo seguir con la trilogía, sé que no me gustarán los demás libros para nada. Estoy segura que igual terminaría abandonando el segundo libro. Alba también es de esas protagonistas que no soporto ni puedo empatizar.
Como puntos buenos: La escritura es buena, aunque me aburrí en momentos igual creo que era más por los pensamientos de Alba y sus cuestionables decisiones. Las escenas de sexo también siento que estuvieron muy bien y algunas un poco creativas que no se leen a menudo, nada que no haya leído antes pero están bien ejecutados. También los protagonistas masculinos lograron captar un poco mi atención, hacerme sentir curiosidad sobre sus razones detrás de sus acciones....more

Aunque no me quejo en absoluto con quién quedó al final (me parece bien), de igual forma hubo MUCHAS COSAS que simplemente dejaron de existir, no eran "importantes", lo dejaron ambiguo, etc.
Un ejemplo de ello son los otros amigos (que eran como un pequeño grupito) y del que había dos chicas, una de ellas parecía ser la "rival" pero que al terminar la temporada ya se llevaban mejor y yo pensé "¡Al fin va a ver amistad entre chicas con la prota!". PERO NOOOO, todo eso desapareció para la segunda temporada. Simplemente parecía que la prota no tenía más amigos cuando OBVIAMENTE se vio en la primera temporada como poco a poco se hizo amiga de más personitas.
Nada me sorprendió. Ni lo de Mickey con Din. Ni Simon y Miles. Wyn. Din. Miu. NADA. Simplemente la historia giró completamente en torno a los tres últimos mencionados. Todos los demás personajes o sub-tramas pasaron a tercer plano.
Repito, no me molesta en absoluto con quién se quedó al final Miu. Era obvio. Esta bien, fui feliz, no tenía un team por nadie, pero igual ese final me pareció MUY agridulce por todo lo apresurado que se sintió....more
