While reading, I was also googling fruits, locations, and other things to help me piece together the lives of these characters. It was such a fun experience. I enjoyed book one more, but book two was smoother in terms of execution. I really think that these books deserve more attention. They highlight a beautiful country and have such fun stories. I am sad that there are no more. I would read a lot more right now if I could.

The Key Quest is a fun adventure in Arestana, the funniest fantasy world I have ever read. It is filled with the funnest animals and ways of defeating the monsters. Instead of killing them, there's always another way to do it. Shawn has a really fun writing style that forms it all perfectly in your head. I hope he goes to YA soon because his writing is so fun. It was like a huge dad joke book. I know the author and he is a dad, so this is probably why everything in the book was that "Why am I laughing and finding this funny?" humor.
Shawn, you have introduced a very fun world to my head. I hope to read the next book eventually. I read this in one day and I have zero regrets.

I'm curious to see where this series goes. It's interesting reading a book that feels like the end. Everything is a dead end, everyone is dying, the cast gets smaller...but this is just the beginning. I didn't really form connections to any of the characters (which is great since...a lot of them are gone now haha) but I think I would if I kept going. ...more

It's hard to read all the way through because it's dense and not set up with great readability, but the content is solid. It's all interviews with different people involved with refugees or the refugees themselves. It offers a lot of perspective. It's heavy. Very heavy. I had to put it down at some points because of how heavy it was. I will be keeping this one on hand because it's an important book to be able to reference. ...more

To match these words to her performance were amazing. I also got to meet her and I think she doesn’t have the same connection to her fans as she once did, but I appreciate her for who she is and what she did for me during my younger years. Her music has always been a bright space for me. ...more
