I can't say I liked the developments in this last installment. ∘ The plot was beginning to look something like "who would Victoria choose as her husband?" than "let's save the world from the demons!". No. I didn't like this change. ∘ Worldbuilding? Not much changed. ∘ Characters? Well, Tori grew more annoying by the second, acting worse than a high school girl. By the end I was so done with her bullshit. I liked River though, he was cool. ∘ Romance — I don't know why we needed another love triangle. And after what we found out by the end ... it almost made me want to throw up. No spoilers but... I mean was that really necessary? why? I'm not going to lie to you: I was disgusted.
⤏ Conclusion I felt like there were too many unnecessary things/events thrown in this book and that kind of ruined the series for me.

⤏ Summary Raven, a queen with no family and an unsavory past. The late king has declared her heir to his throne and left her with a burden she wasn't meant to carry and a kingdom in need of a ruler. At twenty-five year olds, she still doesn't know why the king has made this decision. Raven also has a secret that she's only shared with his best friend and adviser, Cade: she possesses dark magic and she thirsts for blood. When this stranger arrives in her kingdom, she starts having dreams that show her who she is.
⤏ Romance Yeah, no. Two tropes I dislike coming together: insta-love & love triangle. One of them would've been enough.
⤏ Thoughts Now, the main reason I decided to dnf this one? It was boring, annoying and I decided a long time ago that I won't spend my time reading books I don't enjoy reading. Most characters were annoying, especiallyZeke. A male character to annoy me? That rarely happens, but here we are. I won't even bring Cade in this discussion, because it's not worth it. I liked how their friendship was portrayed, but when he started to act all jealous and stuff... yeah... no. I liked Raven, her powers were unique and she was a pretty good character.

⤏ What to expect: ∘ New Adult ∘ Urban Fantasy ∘ Paranormal Romance ∘ Reverse-Harem ∘ Vampires ∘ Witches ∘ Multiple POV ⤏ Tropes: ∘ Insta-love ∘ Childhood friends (the boys) ∘ Grumpy x Sunshine ∘ Age Gap (vampires over 200 years old)
⤏ Plot/Writing The book is pretty catchy, fast paced, full of action and with likeable characters, many mysteries to uncover and an interesting enough plot. Three vampires, former best-friends and current enemies, got stuck on a mission with one single goal: protect Liberty. What, or more exactly who is Liberty? They'll soon find out. Strange things are starting to happen, enemies are attacking from every direction and things are changing. Why? Not one of them knows, but they are about to find out.
⤏ Worldbuilding I'm a little confused about the worldbuilding. It kind of makes sense but at the same time it doesn't? I don't even remember where's this taking place — oops.
⤏ Characters ∘ Liberty The artist who's life is changed after a vampire attack. She's a sassy, funny and confident woman, not panicking when these three vampires turn out in her life, but could use a little braveness sprinkled in. P.s.I found it a little strange that after the trio made an appearance, her friends never once called or texted her about how she's doing or how that night ended.
∘ The vampires - Oak is the grump of the bunch. The schoolar, silent and broody, with the body of "a greek god" *snort*, who's in fact a big softie and a little too possessive. - Ellis is the funny one, jokes always at the ready, but who's also very good at hiding his real feelings. He's caring and a decent cook. - Sterling is the sophisticated one. Arrogant, oozing confidence and I'd say a little impulsive - or how his mother put it: he's just passionate. However, a confident woman can easily bring him to his knees *wink*
⤏ Romance Insta-love is pretty common in a reverse-harem book so I'm not surprised to see the trope here, especially this being such a short book. However, their relationship had an okay progress - short period of time, of course, but it didn't annoy me. The boy all had a different approach on the situation and it was easy to make the difference between them.
⤏ Conclusion I highly recommend it if you are looking for a short, action-packed and spicy reverse-harem romance book.

⤏ Summary Mercy's father is in jail for a crime he did not commit. She's devastated, on the brink of depression and would do anything to help him. If this wasn't already bad enough, it got worse when a relative of the man her father killed starts stirring trouble trough the inmates. When Gabriel, the son of a crime boss, sets his eyes on Mercy, he decides he would do everything in his power to get her in his bed. You already know how this will go down.
⤏ Characters ∘ Mercy Her name's Mercy and she's not smart. She's the perfect example of the saying "she has the looks, lacks the brain". This may sound rude but it is what it is. ∘ Gabriel A man with no morals, inexcusable behavior and actions. He knows she's vulnerable and he decides to take advantage of the situation to manipulate her into sleeping with him. I'd punch him in the face. No hesitation.
⤏ Romance The romantic plot in this book *chuckles* is a joke.

⤏ Thoughts ∘ Plot was a weird mix: an arranged marriage, a "choose your bachelorette" trope and cinderella vibes. Hardly any plot development. Not a fan of how this went down. ∘ Worldbuilding — was actually good and I liked the setting. ∘ Romance — love at first sight, rushed, no tension, no chemistry, lost potential. ∘ Characters — #IHateEveryone, except Beron. At first, I liked Noor and she had potential for being a great character, but she quickly lost my admiration. I wasn't a fan of her sister, Citali, she had her own agenda, but was always unfair and rude to Noor. To be honest, I don't think I could read the next book knowing she's the protagonist. Caelum was pretty mature but too trustful and open with a stranger, too soft for my liking. Beron, Caelum's brother, was the only character I liked, even if he wasn't that present.
⤏ Conclusion I enjoyed the first few chapters and I think this book had such a great potential... In my opinion, the romance ruined it....more
