Despite having befriended two savage wolves, Ezra Fowler and Blade Vanderwood, the town is crawling with supernatural creatures who’d love nothing more than to taste Lilith.
Dreary Shadows Part II takes a number of unexpected twists and turns. I loved the details we learn about Lilith’s witchy lineage and the history of the various supernatural creatures. Each member of the harem is unique and I enjoy their perspectives, not to mention the introduction of Zeus and the certifiable Gunnar.
I was expecting another brutal cliffy, but it’s not. That said, I am still on the edge of my seat waiting to see how Lil’s story is going to come together.

If you’re a fan of BJ Alpha, you are going to want - scratch that, need - to read this one. I was thrilled to be back in the Brutal world. All the more exciting to have characters from the other series’ play a part in this story. Honestly, the way her worlds converge is nothing short of genius. Doesn’t mean I’m not seething over the cliffy. ...more

The fourth installment of the Deadliest Love series continues to surprise. There is no shortage of lies and betrayal, and an epic twist you will not see coming. This series has all the best elements: steam, suspense, and emotion.

I really liked that it wasn’t a standard rich boy/poor girl trope. Yes, Bernie is down on her luck, but there’s a unique twist.
I absolutely love that Bernie owns her body and designs high-end clothing for plus size women. She is strong and smart in so many ways, but daft in others which made her an overall meh character for me.
Moreover, while not an insta-love per se, the relationships move at warp speed. Given that it was nearly 400 pages, I expected more tangible development.

Whew! Too Safe was not at all what I was expecting and I loved it! Each of the guys is very different with distinct personalities and baggage. Getting to know each of them individually was appreciated as that can sometimes be lacking in a why choose.
Despite a lack of steam, I enjoyed the angst and buildup. With the surprising end to book one, I’m guessing Too Fast should have some action. I’m hoping we’ll get to know the aloof Kendrick better too.

There’s minimal plot to be found here. So, if that’s what you’re after, look elsewhere. If not, enjoy this smutty one-handed read for exactly what it is!

Having been promised Ember as a reward for their loyalty, the brothers are anxious to finally have something of their own. Though they didn’t predict the intensity of their feelings or the chemistry they’d share.
“We won’t leave you alone. You are now ours. You are the first thing to ever truly belong to us, and we will never let you go.”
Rosa was unaliving me with her teasers on Insta. I was giddy when selected for an ARC and couldn’t wait to dive in. You know how when you build something up for so long it can be a disappointment? That. Did. Not. Happen. Here.
Dayum y’all!! I will admit that the story had far more depth and emotion than I was expecting. It was impossible not to fall in love with Ember who was so broken after losing her mother. While we only see snippets of the boys’ backstories, they will put you in your feelings.

Nicci prepared us for minimal plot and maximum smut. While the duet is best read one-handed, I was completely invested in the brothers’ story and can’t wait for more titles from her Black Label.

When she wanders into the arena where the Asheville Devils play, she immediately feels a sense of rightness. The felicity extends beyond the sights, sounds, and smells. The star players Sebastian, Carter, and Jack, all seem oddly familiar as well. As does their former teammate turned nemesis, Greyson.
There’s still a lot of story yet to come. But this is one you’ll want to experience for yourself. So, I’m going to keep this very vague. CR and May have crafted an incredibly interesting and unique story, weaving, not just hockey, but mafia, amnesia, second chance, and IT WORKS!! That’s woefully inadequate, actually. The story is intense and emotional. It’s twisty and spicy. In a word: unputdownable!! Readers will appreciate all the layers and that it’s so different from the formulaic stories that are commonplace.

While we don’t get to know the characters in depth, we learn enough about them to understand their personalities and motivations. In fact, I think that’s, in part, why I loved this story so much. We weren’t bogged down with backstory or character growth, we were able to simply enjoy the characters during that snapshot of time in this fun and unique read.
I’ve become a huge Maggie fan with the sweet spice found in the Seattle Phantom series. Love that she took the spice next level and added a layer of grit. Super excited that she’s not finished with this world yet!

I’ve got to say, this house has taken me aback. From their reputation, I had expectations that they would be far more genteel. These princes are not afraid to get their hands dirty. Moreover, I enjoyed seeing their relationships with Verity change, both individually and collectively. I’m so ready to see what is in store for King Rufus and the wait is going to be brutal!

With dreams bigger than her small town, she forges her own path becoming more confident as she discovers who she is outside of the church and her duties.
I feel like I have to keep this one super vague. You really, really want to go into this one blind if at all possible. What should you know before starting? It’s vile. It’s twisted. It’s unexpected. It’s also heartbreakingly beautiful.

Caught up in a fight she doesn’t understand, Fawn is seeing a side of life she had spent years sheltered from.
I’m enjoying the suspense around the mystery man. However, with the similar names and personalities, I had a bit of trouble keeping the guys separated in my mind. I’m anxious to see the relationship with Fawn evolve and how she adjusts to life outside the church.

Holy one-handed read. I went into this expecting zero plot. But I’m honestly as invested in the brothers’ story as the smut.

Despite a career as a successful influencer with a loyal following for her webcast, Witchful Drinking, she won’t allow herself to accept happiness with Kansas.
So, yeah… I really wasn’t sure what to expect going in with the 90s horror vibe meets cult. But the teasers and graphics made it impossible to pass up.
Kansas and Constantine, our MMCs, made the story! They were dominant and mysterious, not afraid to get their hands dirty. Yet, they loved Eisley without abandon. However, like some other reviewers, I didn’t connect with Eisley and I found some inconsistencies/plot holes. All in all, it was unique and entertaining, making for a great read as we enter the spooky season!
