This is a short story and basically takes place in the Everglades, where Temperance Brennan is suppose to be on holiday but within 5 minutes of her arrival, gets roped in to solving a case....bones found inside a python!!!!
The plot moves at beyond fast pace...within a day or two, case is resolved, villains are punished, I learn a LOT about pythons and python catchers......and then THE END....
I miss the old Temperance and I wish I could have seen some of the characters in the series again....
As it's supposedly a prequel to the next book, I just have to wait to read that one and see what happens next!!!!

I love Hollywood love stories!!! I know....GROUPIE!!! Which girl hasn't dreamt about meeting a famous and gorgeous movie star who falls in love with hI love Hollywood love stories!!! And what happened after turning the 1st page of Chapter 2?? Nothing!!! What follows are loooong and repetitive scenes after scenes. Nothing made any sense...not the characters...not the story......

By page 200.......the plot just "plodded" along!!! I was still not sure where the story was going........
I am not sure what the plot was suppose to be.........okay, the mc, heroine, Bianca St Ives, is pretty awesome..in the beginning...but how many times did I have to be told what she has hidden in her garter!!!! Is this a romantic suspense...well, romance...was there any...maybe I missed it...suspense.......think I missed that too!!!! Thriller...okay, lots of bad guys, killers and kidnappers, etc etc........oh man.........even the cliff-hanger at the very end of the book didn't make me want to continue the story, which I presume is book #2........
So, final thoughts about this story!!!!!Let the face tell you what they are....

I just love Hollywood romances and even more when the movie superstar falls in love with a normal and regular person............and this is exactly what happens to Hollywood superstar, Vaughn West when he meets wardrobe assistant, Charlotte (Charly) Michaels.
The story starts off with a bang..........Vaughn discovers that his girlfriend has been cheating with his best friend on national television!!!! He goes on a sex, drugs, drink binge and he's given a final chance to get back into his game!!! Give up drink, partying and WOMEN!!!
Charly is hired to work as the wardrobe assistant on Vaughn's new movie. Her job is to look after his wardrobe during the shoot. She's hyper excited.......after all, she's had a crush on the heartthrob and here she is - up close and personal! Could things be any better!!!

Their first meeting has to be one of the most memorable of all time - Charly's first assignment is a fitting with Vaughn.....

Vaughn has to be one of the most likable and endearing movie stars!!! In fact, I found him to be so nice and normal if that's even possible in Hollywood today. Charly was another engaging and appealing character. I adored her sassiness, kindness, and independence and that fact that she wasn't afraid to speak her mind was another admirable quality of hers.
“I know this is how it’s always going to be with Charly and me. And I like it. I like the challenge she gives me.”
I adored these two together. Loved their banter, their interaction and also that this wasn't an insta-love kind of story!!! You get to see the friendship and attraction develop and grow into something more. The sparks fly between these two - the chemistry made for some hot and steamy moments....

There were some great secondary characters but my favorite one was definitely Vaughn's grandmother! I absolutely loved her!!!
Great epilogue. Great writing. Fabulous characters. Sweet and romantic love story............if you want a smile on your face when reading a book......grab this one!!
PS....The reason for 4,5 stars........hated the cover and I thought Charly's secret was a bit of a "stretch".......

Now, I loved Noelle "Elle" Charleston and Penn Everett in the first b0ok. There was something charming about these two together and when we were left with the cliff-hanger.....I just wanted to "dive" in!!!!

I had to put up with even more UNBELIEVABLE stuff re: US LAWS ............now, I am not totally in the know about the laws in America...but even so....I know for a fact that what happens to Penn after Elle is rescued, could not possible happen!!!! MORE EYE ROLLING!!!! All the drama whilst Penn is jailed for not a day, not two days...but more like weeks...or months!!! Can't remember....but .......

Let me conclude this rant........I lost interest in the characters and what happens to them....before the end...I couldn't give a toss!!!!

Loved the New York City setting and the fact that we are given a glimpse to the not so glamorous side of a city that can either make or break you.
I love the author's writing style and her beautiful prose and voice.

To be honest, this series has been a bit of a letdown - the Ice was such an amazing series and I was expecting the spin-off to be just as good.....but it isn't.
The story revolves around a young Committee (that very secret spy company!!!) who goes rogue on her first mission....yes, the poor girl falls in love with the bad guy, who she was suppose to kill off but instead marries him. She should have been wiser because her now very bad husband has done some really bad things to her!!
I liked the premise of the story and I was looking forward to an exciting and fast moving plot...but oh no!!!! For the first 100 pages or more, it was more than something like this.........

Love, Chloe is totally different from the other two books that I loved, Hollywood Dirt and Sex, Love, Repeat.
This was such a fun read. It had some great characters, fabulous setting...I mean...NYC...my all time favourite place to visit....and we get a peep into the world and lives of the rich and famous...what more could I ask for!!!

What I admired about Chloe was her resilience....she didn't wallow in self-pity or feeling sorry for herself....she dusts herself down and moves on with getting her life...well, her new life together.

It's a story about friendship....

Romance........hell, Chloe has some problems in this area....her ex...who just happens to be a zillionaire is determined to get her back...she gave him the kick when she found him canoodling some women...but old Vic is persistent!!! He goes out on all stops...delivers a Maserati to her new apartment (more about that later!), gives her a $20,000 Birkin bag, Tiffany diamond earrings......and you would think...she's going to go right back to him...after all, she can have her life of luxury back..right!!!
Wrong............she wants nothing to do with him..well, she kind of gives in once or twice...but then, she finds Carter, her apartment super...a beyond hot and sexy male...filling her head with some hot thoughts!!! Seriously, men........

But he kind of grew on me and in the end, I actually like his character!!! In the face of some stumbling blocks along their way to finding happiness together, they manage to overcome them and be together.
Connor and Paige's story is cute filled with fun (which makes it a change from dark and tormented and broken characters!!) and it's pretty sexy too.
