I love when I’m reading a book and have a huge smile on my face the entire time. It doesn’t happen often, but Wardrobe Malfunction had me grinning from ear to ear. Samantha Towle knocked it out of the park with this fun, lighthearted, sexy, and sweet standalone romantic comedy.
Vaughn West is a big time Hollywood actor who’s having a rough time. He’s been on top of his game when it comes to acting, but his personal life is a mess. After his relationship fell apart in the worst way possible, he’s started to go downhill. He gets offered the role of a lifetime and he’s got to get it together for the sake of the movie. Everything is going good. Then he meets Charly.
Charlotte Michaels is a wardrobe assistant and she’s just got offered the biggest opportunity of her career. Working as Vaughn West wardrobe assistant in a huge film. She couldn’t be more excited. Then she meets Vaughn. Things don’t go quite as Charly imagines when they meet. Charly is nervous and Vaughn is a bit of a jerk. Even with all that. it’s pretty apparent that these two are attracted to one another, and their banter is fantastic. I loved the back and forth.
The more Vaughn and Charly are around each other, the more their back and forth continues. Eventually, the sexual tension between them is so on fire, it nearly explodes. Even though Vaughn and Charly can’t really be together (Vaughn needs to appear to be on his best behavior and Charly has something she’s not told Vaughn) they can’t keep their hands off one another.
I loved that there was so much more than just sexy times between these two. They grew to have a friendship and genuinely cared for one another. Charly was a fun and fantastic heroine. I adored her and her feisty and fun personality. Vaughn was also wonderful. He made me laugh more times than I could count.
Wardrobe Malfunction was truly a gem of a book. Between the sweet moments between Vaughn and Charly, the steamy scenes, the parts that made me crack up laughing, and even a few moments that made me feel- it was a fabulous read.

Wardrobe Malfunction by Samantha Towle was such a delightful and enjoyable read.
I just love Hollywood romances and even more when the movie superstar falls in love with a normal and regular person............and this is exactly what happens to Hollywood superstar, Vaughn West when he meets wardrobe assistant, Charlotte (Charly) Michaels.
The story starts off with a bang..........Vaughn discovers that his girlfriend has been cheating with his best friend on national television!!!! He goes on a sex, drugs, drink binge and he's given a final chance to get back into his game!!! Give up drink, partying and WOMEN!!!
Charly is hired to work as the wardrobe assistant on Vaughn's new movie. Her job is to look after his wardrobe during the shoot. She's hyper excited.......after all, she's had a crush on the heartthrob and here she is - up close and personal! Could things be any better!!!
Vaughn has to be one of the most likable and endearing movie stars!!! In fact, I found him to be so nice and normal if that's even possible in Hollywood today.
Charly was another engaging and appealing character. I adored her sassiness, kindness, and independence and that fact that she wasn't afraid to speak her mind was another admirable quality of hers.
The sparks fly between these two - the chemistry made for some hot and steamy moments....
Great epilogue. Great writing. Fabulous characters. Sweet and romantic love story............if you want a smile on your face when reading a book......grab this one!!
PS....The reason for 4,5 stars........hated the cover and I thought Charly's secret was a bit of a "stretch".......

I absolutely loved her!!!

Samantha Towle never ceases to amaze me. She has this gift for creating characters and stories that keep me captivated! I have no problem being totally consumed by the fabulous stories she produces. This was her first attempt at a RomCom and I do believe she nailed it!! WARDROBE MALFUNCTION has one sexy as hell and snarky Hero who is Hollywood’s favorite leading man, and a beautiful and sweet Heroine who just about everyone has a hard time not falling in love with.
Vaughn West has landed one of the biggest roles of his career. He’s been advised by his agent to clean up his act and get his head back in the game. After having been publicly humiliated by his ex-girlfriend and best friend during his last movie project, Vaughn went on a drinking and sex binge for a while to get over the betrayal and embarrassment. Now on the set of his new movie with one of the top Directors in the industry, the last thing he needs is to have a distraction in the form of his beautiful new wardrobe assistant. Vaughn and Charly don’t exactly hit it off during their first meeting, which has something to do with a needle and an unfortunate stabbing in Vaughn’s nether region!
Vaughn is anything but sweet towards Charly from the moment they first met and even though he is nothing but a douchebag to her, she can’t help feeling insanely attracted to the man who has been the star of many of her late night fantasies. I'm not big on celebrity books because they usually come with a bunch of drama and over-inflated ego's. But this is Samantha Towle and I couldn't pass up an opportunity to read her newest release, so I went in crossing my fingers and hoping for the best. And that is exactly what I got. The best!
I instantly fell in love with this book and these characters. Vaughn wasn't the typical playboy Hero that I was expecting and I really liked that he was very down to Earth. He definitely had his moments where his ego came out a little but it was never in an annoying way so that never bothered me. I was too busy swooning over how sexy he was while pursuing Charly.
Charly and Vaughn had an undeniable chemistry that I loved seeing. They were definitely a great couple and I couldn't seem to stop smiling whenever they were together and being all cute and whatnot. They had that sweetness about them that just makes you all warm inside, and then they had those sexy as hell moments that get your eyes practicly glued to the pages.
Overall, this is a must read if you're looking for something cute and humorous but also want that hint of steam to go along with it.

Smartly written and super sexy, Samantha Towle nails the Romcom trope with, Wardrobe Malfunction and her warmly presented cast of characters headed up by Vaughn and Charly the effervescent protagonists at the heart of this emotionally perfect and highly amusing story. I laughed *so much*, I felt emotion as the perfect level of angst emerged during the second half, I even shed tears at the sheer exhilaration I felt whilst being moved by this couples love story as it perfectly juxtaposed against the comedic elements. With the themes of trust, miscommunication, secrets and an intense physical attraction weaving through a witty narrative, Wardrobe Malfunction is everything I needed it to be and most definitely one of my absolute favourite Towle books!
Vaughn West is the heartthrob movie star people everywhere lust after, a celebrity at the height of his career who's been through a hard time and recently promised to steer clear of women and focus on his career. Charlotte Michaels (Charly), a budding dress designer finds herself as a wardrobe assistant on the set of this superstar’s new film and from here on in the story unfolds with a richly amusing and tight narrative that at times had me in complete stitches *laughing my socks off!*. The convincingly authentic dialogue had me completely invested in the happenings of the story and in awe of the banter created by the penmanship of this author. The trajectory of which presents one of the best first meetings of a hero and heroine that I’ve had the pleasure to experience. It made me absolutely laugh out loud and allowed a follow up scene that had me giggling like a child. By this point I was totally enamoured and truly hooked by this romantic, witty romp that seamlessly develops into something more serious and provided me with the most beautiful heart-warming story that kept on giving with the light-hearted humour. The scenes transition with fluid ease and carry the story forward to the happy completion one would expect to be delivered by a Romantic Comedy.
Laced with sexy erotic prose there is no lacking in the hotness factor, this author knows how to turn up the heat and successfully shows the burning attraction and palpable sexual desire of the protagonists. I have a longstanding love affair with the writing of this author, Jake Wethers being my ultimate hero of hers, however… Vaughn and this story convincingly rivals Jake for the joint number one spot, I loved Wardrobe Malfunction that much. If you’re looking for a STANDALONE story with a feel-good factor that will warm your heart and make you laugh, then look no further than Wardrobe Malfunction this one delivered beautifully.

A sexy, Laugh out loud, lighthearted feels good read

WARDROBE MALFUNCTION: We’re introduced to Vaughn, his girlfriend Piper of six months and his best friend Cain of ten years as they are discussing their latest movie the trio had acted in together during a live late night chat show on national television.
Piper is actually the first woman I’ve dated seriously since I got in this business. I just figured it was time to settle down.
Everything's going smoothly as each of them discuss how it was working together, until the host mentions the affair that these two were having behind Vaughn’s back for the last three months.
My heart is being broken on live television by my cheating-ass girlfriend. But, worse, by my friend, whom I trusted. The guy I’ve known for ten years.

Going into this I didn't know what to expect, from being humiliated on national tv to getting pricked by a pin goes from serious to hilarious in a matter of minutes.
But wait to make up for that wee prick she did go out of her way to make him a little gift in large size, that had the giggles bursting freely.
A cease war has been reached when they decide to be friends, and friends only, anything more would jeopardise his career, but usually the best laid plans have a way of backfiring on us when we least expect it and these two are no different. An undeniable attraction, a hidden romance, things go from friends to more in a flash.
“Pins, we got off to a crazy start. After the stabbing incident, you made me a stellar piece of underwear, and then you yelled at me and called me a few choice words. I kissed you to shut you up, and I’ve been lucky enough to keep kissing you ever since."
I could read this again, and I very rarely say that about a book. I've gone through all those fluffy fucking feels with this book, the argghhh he's an arrogant ass, to swooning over him the next, definitely one I would recommend as a one click purchase on release day!!

Overall Opinion: Well...I'm a minority here again. I didn't love it. I just thought it was ok *shrugs*. The h got on my nerves with not being upfront with the H, and I think that ruined the book for me tbh. I also felt like we were teased with more depth for the characters, but were never given the full thing (I hope that makes sense). For example, regarding the h and her traumatic past -- it is hinted that she will tell the H more once she feels more comfortable with him, but we never get that! It's just left alone and we never hear her full story. This probably would still be a winner for those that are just looking for a light, sexy, funny read.
Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Charly and Vaughn's story. They meet on the set of a movie when Charly is hired as a wardrobe assistant, and Vaughn is the leading man. Vaughn had gone through a very public and humiliating event recently and he was spiraling out of control for a little while, but he cleaned up his act in order to take this new role. Unfortunately, the idea of staying away from women backfired when he meets Charly. Sparks fly instantly between the two and they eventually stop fighting enough to hook-up. There are some funny moments, some sexy times, and some drama....but they do get a HEA ending.
POV: This alternated between Charly and Vaughn's POV.
Overall Pace of Story: Good. I never skimmed, and I thought it flowed well.
Instalove: No, they take a while to develop stronger feelings.
H rating: 3 stars. He was ok. I did think that he was a little douchey at times, but I think that was just his type of character.

I adore a sweet book and this one definitely was sweet, and funny. Celebrity books have always captured my attention and have always fascinated me. I could never imagine having the lifestyle of a celebrity and reading these stories only make me confirm that. Your life is never private and holy crap the gossip

I love Samantha Towle’s books, but I especially loved this one because it was laugh out loud funny. In case you didn’t know laugh out loud books are one of my favorites. I love fun books, but when an author can make me lol for reals, it just puts me a great mood when reading.
Wardrobe Malfunction is pretty fantastic in that regard. Vaughn is an A-List actor who just ended a relationship with a Hollywood starlet after learning of her infinitely with his best friend. Vaughn isn’t typically a party guy, but after the break up he jumps into the party scene. In order to get the job that will make his career, he must clean up his party boy ways.
Charly is a wardrobe assistance and is super excited to be working with Vaughn and on such a huge project. Vaughn is one of her favorite actors or celebrity crushes. We all have them and all I imagined was what it would be like to work with one of them. Naturally, I would be a nervous wreck and I guess that’s how I can completely relate to Charly’s wardrobe malfunction with Vaughn.
After sticking Vaughn with a pin in a very painful, inappropriate place these two are on fire. Vaughn is attracted to Charly but must maintain a squeaky clean image for the press. Vaughn is back and forth, here and there with his feelings, and Charly doesn't really know what to expect but she isn't the kind of girl to back down.
The banter, sexual chemistry and eventual friendship had me hooked. When I wasn't laughing I was excited to turn the page and see what would happen next. I loved how they made me laugh out loud, but also hopeful for more of a connection between the two of them. This story was more than a romantic comedy and it had plenty of feels. I loved all the other characters and how they added to the story.
Anytime I can easily get immersed in the story and stay connected is a big win for me. This book is a super fast read because you didn't want to put it down. It’s not a short book, but read quickly and flowed perfectly. I definitely recommend when you are looking for a fun, sexy read.

I can't even tell you how much I enjoyed Wardrobe Malfunction!I found myself having a smile in my face all the time!It was funny and I loved Vaughn and Charly!They made the story entertaining.
Wardrobe Malfunction has everything I want in a story, it has angst,funny,sweet,playful and steamy moments!The banter between Charly and Vaughn was hilarious, especially the way these two meet was so funny!
If you are looking for a fast paced,sweet and funny story then this was perfect!

☾ I swear I will never think of pins the same way again...I've been waiting for this book for what seems like forever! I was so excited to read it yesterday and although it didn't disappoint, I didn't love it either :/
☾Vaughn's arrogance was a huge turn off for me and I know that half the time it was a joke, but the way he treated Charly was just horrible. Regardless If he was trying to keep himself from going for her, it was not fun to read for me and I wish I liked him more.
☾Charly is my favorite! Seriously I love how she stands up for herself and doesn't back down. However I don't like the way Vaughn can treat her like crap and then she's all over him again in two seconds...what! Countless times he treated her horribly and even though she stood her ground, she still was okay with it within the next few pages?

We're in Hollywood with Charly and Vaughn.
Charly just arrived to work on a film-set. She's a wardrobe assistant. What she really wants to be is a fashion designer, but this is the next best thing. And the bestest thing about it.... she'll be working with/for Hollywood superstar Vaughn West. She might have a little crush!
Poor Vaughn has been through a bit of a bad phase. Three months ago he found out - on live TV - that his best friend and his girlfriend were having an affair. He was more sad about losing his best friend than the girl, but it still hurt. And it hurt more because it was all happening live in front of the world.
After drinking and effing himself through all of Hollywood, he now has to get his act together again. To work with legendary director Brandon he has to be on top of his game.
And that means no sex until the movie is done!
Enter Charly.
The cute, and funny wardrobe girl.
Vaughn is instantly attracted - and annoyed. She annoys the hell out of him. Especially because the second they met she started to kill him with a needle - a needle in a place where no needle should ever tread!!!

I really loved this book ...
I've always been a fan of Hollywood Romances. They're the next best thing to Rockstar Romances! ☺
We feel so sorry for poor Vaughn in the beginning.
And then once Charly appears in his life....things get so adorably funny and cute and sexy. I just loved those two together. They have insane chemistry. They fight and argue and flirt. It's amazing to watch them. Even though it might have been a tiny little bit too insta for my tastes. But then again, I love it when I don't have to wait 65% until the first sex scene! So it was totally ok. They just insta-clicked!
Of course with all that happened in Vaughn's life and with whatever happened in Charly's life - that we don't know about yet - they have a long way to go until we can ride of into a Happily Ever After sunset!
But we readers enjoy every moment of their journey!!
This really was the perfect book. It has everything a great story needs:
Lots of sparks, arguing, romance, love, hate, hope - and lots of funny and adorable & moving moments too!!! I just loved it!
WARDROBE MALFUNCTION was such a beautiful & adorable & funny Hollywood romance. Run to your nearest amazon for your own Vaughn - this one is MINE - and by this one I mean the guy IN the book not the guy ON the book ☺!!!
If I had to name some things I didn't like ... we have this typical misunderstanding/lie/drama thing that happens in so many books towards the middle or the end. It could've been prevented by just talking to each other. But they never do. It wasn't all that bad, but I just don't like those unnecessary drama moments in books.
Also - the book is set in America with American characters. The author is British and it shows in every page. But it's ok. Doesn't bother most people - just me! ☺

Samantha Towle is one my must-read authors. I read my favourite book by her “The ending I want” at least 3 times.
But this one just didn’t work out for me.
I didn’t like the characters, couldn’t connect with them and found the story a bit odd.
I think it’s because I’m not a fan of celebrity idolization. Common, they are humans like we.
Celebrity or not, we all eat and poop.
To be honest I must admit that I had my crush, yeah, on Kevin from Backstreet boys, huge crush for about a month when I was 15. *lol*
It doesn’t mean I don’t admire talent of actors and artists and I definitely wouldn’t say no to the café date with George Clooney – to chat about his twins of course :-), but I still see them as normal people who have human faults.
Why I write this – I didn’t quite like the heroine’s “puppy love” for the hero, especially at the beginning. He guy was rude to her and I think she would tell him to back off if he wasn’t her secret celebrity crush. Maybe I’m wrong, but it how I saw it. Heroine’s lack of self-confidence vocalized through such statements as “He’s way out of my league. Like galaxies out of my league” didn’t inspire me either.
To be fair this book is not the only one to have this kind of trope and it wasn’t my main reason for not high rating.
What I liked: the MCs were not delusional and really self-critical. The heroine called herself dumbass and loser and the hero told us he was a prick and whiny d*ck.
No further comments needed.
I wouldn’t fret at their lack of chemistry; since I couldn’t connect with them it’s only natural that I couldn’t feel their lust/love. Let it remain my loss.
My main trigger in this book was cracking jokes about old(er) people. It wasn’t very strong but often. Brad Pitt is old, his grandma’s (80) dating was weird, grandma’s bf (70) - “He’s got a lot of hair for a seventy-year-old guy. Probably a wig.“ and so on. I guess it was supposed to be funny, but I was raised to respect elders and despite my sarcastic nature I draw the line here.

I can only speak for myself, but if my lover called me “f*cking tool” and told me “You do have a mouth like a vacuum” (and the both were meant as joke) I would hurt him, physically. *statement*
But the heroine wasn’t me (fortunately), so they lived their HEA.

**** 4 Seductive Lip Bites ****
Cute, contemporary, light read.
Funny banter and silliness between MCs. Love that.
Honestly, I struggled to feel the connection between them though. From the time they met to the time they got together was pretty quick. Left me feeling like I was missing something. Would have loved to see a little more sexual tension build between them since she was supposed to be forbidden for him.
But, when they were together it was spicy and steamy (which I lurve) so that was a super plus!
The personal pet peeve for me with this book?? I loathe when there's a *shhhh... secret* that one of the MCs is hiding and the reader is left in the dark about it. However, the chapters continuously wrap up with the inner back and forth of "should I or shouldn't I tell him/her" or "I can't bring myself to tell him/her yet" and "if he/she knew my secret would they feel the same".
Seriously...
Then the big reveal of the major twist is in the last 15% of the book.
So. Annoying.
This was my first Samantha Towle book. I enjoyed the writing quite a bit. I would happily dig into another one!

Would have loved to see a little more sexual tension build between them since she was supposed to be forbidden for him.
But, when they were together it was spicy and steamy (which I lurve) so that was a super plus!
The personal pet peeve for me with this book?? I loathe when there's a *shhhh... secret* that one of the MCs is hiding and the reader is left in the dark about it. However, the chapters continuously wrap up with the inner back and forth of "should I or shouldn't I tell him/her" or "I can't bring myself to tell him/her yet" and "if he/she knew my secret would they feel the same".
Seriously...
Then the big reveal of the major twist is in the last 15% of the book.
So. Annoying.
This was my first Samantha Towle book. I enjoyed the writing quite a bit. I would happily dig into another one!

4 "Pins" Stars
OMG- this was the cutest story ever!!!!! It was just perfect. It was sweet, funny, sexy and it had the best banter between the two main characters!!! From beginning to end, I laughed and smiled throughout the entire read.
Vaughn West and Charlotte "Charly" "Pins" Michaels are freaking adorable. I fell in love with both of them. They are both fun, witty, sexy and their chemistry is amazing. The banter between Vaughn and Charly is snarky and soldering. Charly is outspoken and Vaughn loves it. But Vaughn needs to concentrate on his movie career and not Charly, his wardrobe assistant. But when their chemistry heats up.........can Vaughn really keep away??
I loved that the author captured romance, comedy, and sexiness and tied them all together in a great read. Vaughn's family added a fun and meaningful element to Vaughn and Charly's relationship. While I loved the story, there was an element to the story that I would have liked more of.
So if you are a fan of lighthearted, fun, sexy, standalones, with a great epilogue.......then Wardrobe Malfunction is for you!!

Well, professional webt out of the window when Vaughn knocked on Charly's door and they went at it, bumping uglies and tonsil hocky, if you know what I mean.
Their story was epic, having to start with Charly having family issues, and struggling to keep their relationship a secret. I loved how their story developed cause they were both understanding, I mean literally, little to no drama (except on the complication part), too many mushy scenes (which I really love) and hot AF sex all over!
Knowing Samantha Towle's style, I am once again shocked by her curve ball complication, which I really didn't see it coming. Hey if you read other Towle novels you'd understand.
What more can I say, it was lighthearted comedy, no cheating-it's for you to decide, and abso-fucking-lutely HEA.
Definitely 5 stars!

Vaughn is trying to lead a straight and narrow life after living down and dirty for a while after being betrayed. All that comes to a quick stop when he comes across the spitfire that is Charly Michaels. Never has he felt more alive...or more in lust for someone in his life and he's not about to let her go. Not without a fight.
Not that she puts up much of a one...which was just a tad disappointing. Her only request is that their relationship be a secret which works for Vaughn since he needs to keep things out of the press.
These two are extremely sexual and the flames are practically leaping off the pages. Vaughn certainly knows how to please a woman and he pleases Charly over and over again with no complaints from her.
And as they become closer and closer, feelings come into the picture. They become more and more intense until there is no denying it. However, Charly has something she needs to tell Vaughn...
Of course, I didn't see that coming and I rather enjoyed that. I also really liked Vaughn and Charly together...they just fit.
I think my favorite parts are when they go to Vaughn's home for his sister's wedding. Everything about it was just perfect and I loved his grandma and JESTER! Jester was the best!! ;)
Well, maybe Jester will have to settle for second best and let grandma have first place...especially after everything she did.

4.5 Sexy ass Stars****
When I pick a Sam Towle book I usually know that I get sweet agonising angst reads. My heart usually gets pulled in different directions, thst said this book is a Rom-Com and oh man it was a pleasant surprise. I had so much fun reading this book and it came at the perfect time, it was just what I needed right now.
So what's it about?
Vaughn west is one of the best actors in the business, good looking, sexy and everyone wants a part of him. But he has had his heart broken on LIVE tele so when it comes to woman Now he just uses them for sex, his life has been a little F***ed up as of late. He drinks, gets drunk goes out parties and ends the night with a woman. So he's having to clean up his act and after promising to work hard and work on his act he is set to work on a new film, a fresh start as it were.
And that is where he meets the one and only fiesty Charly whom works in wardrobe, and happens to be Vaughn's girl. And so it begins...
Ok that's where I'm stopping but what I will say is this book was soooo funny, the banter between these two had me laughing out loud many a time. Especially their initial introduction 'cough cough' read it and come back and we can chat Kay?
Although it was funny, and Vaughn loves SEX especially, there bedroom antics blew up my kindle many a time, it was heartwarming too. I ADORED how this story unfolded, I honestly didn't know what to expect when picking this one up but Wow wow wow I LOVED IT.

Vaughn's one DIRTY sexy talker but he has a big heart also and with that he doesn't want to get hurt again so they are just having fun right???
Mmm anyway pick it up peeps I enjoyed this one a heck of a lot and I really think all you Romance addicts will just the same.

Sometimes when I read news stories about celebrities where they are reportedly going off the deep end, indulging in parties, multiple partners and giving the paparazzi lots of fodder to graze on, I wonder what is going on inside them that leads them down this road.
Having your whole life rolled out publicly with everyone watching every move you make and posting it online must be overwhelming at times. Some people would say that publicity is how they grow their fame and gain fans but I think we can often forget that they are just people too.
Vaughn West has had his fair share of bad press lately and after he is offered a role that could be a break through for his career he agrees to tame his out of control lifestyle and focus on his work. No more party antics and no revolving door of women.
When he arrives on set and has his first wardrobe fitting, he realises that the promise he made to his manager is going to be hard to keep. His gorgeous new wardrobe assistant Charly has his peen on high alert. And this is how he gets stabbed in the testicle during his first trouser fitting…. and how Charly gets her nickname from him.
Great way to make an impression on the hot movie star ‘Makes Me Wet West’ huh Charly? This has never happened before and she is convinced that this first day will be her last. However, once Vaughn gets past his anger and pain he gets to know her and he realises he feels so comfortable around her. He is just Vaughn the guy, having fun with a girl.
Charly sees a different side of Vaughn, the one the public are not privy too. He is a sweet, sensitive, family orientated guy. They have a lot of fun together and before long he has gone from the guy she had in her spank bank to the guy she wishes would spank her.

As the connection between them grows so does that guilt that Charly has from carrying around a secret that she needs to share with Vaughn. The deeper she gets with him, the harder it is to tell him. You can see where this is going right? One moment these two are deliriously happy and the next it feels like the world has imploded around them. A complete relationship malfunction that pushes Vaughn to his limit.
This was such a different story from Samantha. Firstly, there was so much humour and laugh out loud moments. I loved Charly’s quirky personality and her smart mouth. There is another character that stole my heart and that was Vaughn’s grandmother, she reminded me so much of my own late Nana. A fun, easy to read story that had me sneak reading in the toilet at work and wishing I had woken up sick so I could stay in bed all day reading.

It's probably me but this didn't do it for me.
There were a couple of scenes that made me smile, but other than those scenes the wit and comedy seemed a bit sparse for a rom com.
He's a film star who's fallen into a spell of manwhoring and drinking after being betrayed by a friend. She's his hapless wardrobe assistant who has a huge ass crush on her principal.
While it wasn't a totally awful read, I kind of guessed where this was heading very early on and so the conflict, when it finally arrived, felt rather contrived. That, together with the limp humour (and a rather monotonous narrative where seemingly every other sentence began with "I") meant this didn't really work as a comedy or as a drama for me.
Not my favourite from this author unfortunately, but everyone else seemed to love it so don't listen to me.

Wardrobe Malfunction is a fantastic novel! I loved it from start to finish. It was sweet, beautiful, hot and funny. This book was my third read by Samantha Towle and it’s the second book by her that I’ve added to my favorite books.
Vaughn West is a famous actor and he’s starring in a new, probably very successful, movie. He needs to keep a low profile after some bad press. Charly is Vaughn’s wardrobe assistant for that movie. She always had a little crush on him, but she’s professional when she finally meets him. Their first meeting didn’t go as planned, but Charly tries to make it right. They run into each other a lot. Vaughn is attracted to Charly and he wants her. It has been long since he felt that way about someone.
Vaughn and Charly’s first meeting was unforgettable and priceless, but also a little painful for Vaughn. I still smile when I think about it. I loved the banter between Vaughn and Charly. I was rooting from them to be together from the start. They are a perfect and beautiful couple.
Vaughn and Charly are incredible characters. Both of them are talented, passionate, sweet, possessive and caring. I never guessed Charly’s secret. I couldn’t believe what I was reading, but I understood her reasons. The secondary characters were also incredible, especially Vaughn’s family. I’m hoping for books about Vaughn’s friends.
