I tried to get past that, but it was a constant effort that wasn't successful. The women characters were written with much more insight than the male ones. Second, I was bored. The middle dragged on and on and I just wanted to skip all the drudge. Slow psychological burns are fine, but there needs to be tension. I just wasn't drawn in.
