And, again, KA Knight knocked another Courts & Kings book out of the park! Court of Beasts is set around the same world as the previous books but it is centered on the Red Mountain wolf pack, which has Jang as alpha, and Quinn as his daughter. Quinn has had a traumatic past and suffered the loss of people very close to her and whom she loved more than anything at the hands of the Hunters. After that tragic event, she tried her best to prove she deserved to be part of the pack and could lead them all into a better future. Everything she did was for the pack, she helped and thought of everyone before thinking of herself and when the hunters' threat gets closer than ever before, her loyalty and strength will be put to the test. The hunters, Vale, Lucien, and Jai, were raised in the hunter world, where they learned to hunt and k!ll the monsters that hunt innocent humans. However, somewhere along the way, the senior hunters stopped thoroughly checking the threats to make sure they were eliminating the bad monsters. These three men will bring forward a change in that outdated thinking, but not with a lot of sacrifice first.
This book was absolutely amazing! Filled with action, fast-paced, and a LOT of smut, it was perfect for me. I could not put it down and I devoured it every time I could. I also was absolutely sobbing by the end of it so bad that my husband came to ask me what was happening. Whoever reads this book will know which part I'm talking about, oh my god, I was destroyed and my heart broke so badly for all of them. The ending though, the reward he got for what he did was beautiful and he deserved that more than anyone. I also loved how there was mention of Althea and the new hunter boss, Angel, and how the queens are all rising and will be the ones to bring forward the change their world needs. Anyway, I loved this book, as I do each of Katie's books and I'm so thankful I got to read an ARC of it. Now I'll be patiently (or not so much) waiting for the next book, Court of Heathens, especially after that epilogue.
Tropes in this book: - Bad*ss FMC - Enemies to lovers - Reverse harem - Blood play - Possessive/protective mmcs - Dark paranormal fantasy romance - a LOT of spicy scenes
“Fuck.” He groans against my lips, the sound husky and so fucking sexy. “Why do you taste so good?” He licks my lips, rubbing himself against me. “Like the freshest fruit. Forbidden.” He nips my lip. “Do you taste that sweet everywhere?” “You’ll never find out,” I tease, nipping his lip again. “Want to bet, she-wolf?” He murmurs before deepening the kiss.
“Good girl, you’re doing so well, she-wolf. Shit, you should see how you’re taking us both. You are stretched so wide for us, your greedy little cunt leaking around him. Does he feel good, Quinn?” She nods, but I grip her head, yanking it up with a snarl. “Use your words, she-wolf.” “Yes, yes, he feels good.” She groans. “So good, please.”
“I caught you, my prey. Now I can eat you,” I murmur, “like we all wanted to do in that cage.” Her heart skips a beat, and her legs tighten around me as I smirk, pricking her skin with my fangs. “You want to be fucked, Quinn. You want to be used, tied up, and forced. You want to be dominated, and that’s exactly what we are doing, baby. Now, be a good little prey and scream for me.” ...more

Oh my God... I can't stop bawling my eyes out! This book... Dear God, Jescie, this book wrecked me! I thought I was ready after reading one of your most emotional books, Hawke, but hell no I was not ready. In every single scene with Colin, I broke down, I seriously could feel the love and care Dylan had for her brother. It was soooo profound, so heartbreakingly beautiful, God, I just know I'll never recover from this book and I'll reread this as much as I possibly can. It was seriously one of the most beautiful and touching books I've read in forever. The emotional load of this story was so deep.
Lake was a famous football player, an up and coming athlete that was quickly becoming one of the best. Until an injury took him out of the game. But that did not break him, his determination and will to reach his goal made him look for the best physiotherapist out there, the one that helped another player that got back on the field faster than anyone expected and that's exactly what Lake needed. His reasonings behind his rush to go back to the field were deeper than anyone thought and so so beautiful. He was working hard but not for himself, he was trying to make the most important person in his life proud of him.
Dylan was a physiotherapist on the rise, she was smart and went above and beyond to provide the best care for her patients with the goal of reaching high into the NFL and working with a therapy team there. But, just as Lake, she didn't want the dream job, the big league job for the money, no, she had a lot more riding behind that, someone that needed and depended on her more than anyone realized. She was a rock, the strongest person out there fighting for a chance and a life her and her person deserved.
Lake and Dylan were as much opposites as they were similar. They were both determined as h*ll, both worked hard for what they wanted and both had a lot more to lose than they expected. But, life always happens in a way we don't expect, and these two will go through a lot until finding their place.
This book was absolutely amazing! I loved every second of it and I could not put it down, I read whenever I had the time and stayed up late as much as I could. Was I a mess at work the next days? Sure was, but it was so worth it!! I seriously went to sleep with a smile on my face because this story was so beautiful. I sobbed so many times like a baby, I literally carried a box of tissues with me because I knew I'd be bawling my eyes out sooner than expected. It was heartbreakingly beautiful, I loved it with all my heart. Really, I'm at a loss of word to express how beautiful, profound and amazing this book was. So so good!

Oh. My. God. What was this book? I must admit that I am beginning to get bored with this erotica/romance stories because they are always the same storyline, blah blah blah. But, WOW, how Alice gave this thought a nice slap. This book was amazing!!!! My God, I cried like a baby and laughed even more. This book was totally different than anything I've read before.
Caitlyn and KP are struggling with so much, both with issues with their loved ones and how they can't do anything to change what is happing. The feeling of loss is really touching in this book and made me think about how important some people are to us and we only acknowledge that when something bad happens or when they're on their way to pass. I loved how they found support and peace in each other and how their love was growing during the book and not this "love at first sight" kind a book.
My God. I loved this book so much. Their losses almost break me too. I could feel everything and I couldn't put this book down as soon as I started. I loved the epilogue and how Wenton made their lives even better with the hunt.
Alice Ward, you did it again! Really, this time, I bow to you. This book is so much more than just a hot guy on the cover. Thank you so much for writing this!!...more

It was just mind-blowing. I'm still processing everything.

Oh my… I’d never imagined Landon to be this much. He was so much more than the little glimpses shown in Eleanor & Grey. God, he was so much more. This was really heartbreaking. I just wanted to hug Landon so much. He deserved it. He was trying so hard and he was making it work during a time that most people would’ve given up already.
This book has all the feels. I swear, you won’t regret reading it, just get read to really feel it. It’s amazing. My heart is so full for Landon and Shay, I can’t wait to see what happens to them at book 2. ...more

She’s my hell on Earth. My temptress. My Angel.
Gabriel is an MMA fighter in the Black Ops team. Frankie is a physical therapist for the team. But, she is Austin's girlfriend for the past nine years. Austin is also an MMA fighter for the Black Ops. Austin and Frankie met when they were teenagers and they've been together ever since. But, the last few years have not been easy on them, especially Frankie. Austin is distant and changing more and more every day. Frankie always felt bad for the connection she felt instantly with Gabriel but both of them never acted on it. Until Austin went rogue and did some damage he could never repair. That's when Gabriel spets in, finally claiming what was always his.
“You’re mine now, Angel.” Not fucking his. “You’ve always been mine.”

Oh goodness... Teagan does it again. I really thought, after the first book, things would get repetitive or I'd just lose interest like it usually happens when I read the rest of a book series. But, wow, how wrong I was. This one was amazing! I really could feel everything and really felt for both Winston and Drew. God, the things these two went through... Anyway, Drew is Wren's best friend, from the first book, and Winston is Wren's brother. They all met when Drew went to work at a pizzeria that was owned by Wren and Winstons' dad. Wren and Drew became best friends instantly and Winston became her enemy just as fast. But all of it had a reason behind it and it was amazing to figure these two out. I loved reading this story and I just can't wait for the next one!! This series is quickly becoming a favorite of mine, for sure....more

I've been on a Mariana Zapata "marathon" for a week or a little more I think and I couldn't be happier. She's a great writer and I love all her characters. I love even more that all her characters cross over some way or the other in her books. Specially after the news today that Zack, from The Wall of Winnipeg and Me and Bianca from The Best Thing, are getting their own book, Hands Down, and I'm so happy!!! Can't wait for that one.
Anyway, this book was so sweet! After I realized that Jasmine was Ruby's sister, from Dear Aaron, I actually squealed and rolled my eyes because I should've known that instead of just figuring it out after I started reading it. It was so sweet to see them again and it make me want to reread Dear Aaron, which I think I might. I loved this story, it was really sweet but I loved even more how Jasmine was so strong and honest, how she didn't let anyone run over her and was ready to defend her dreams and everyone she loves. It was a beautiful book and I loved reading it. <3...more

So much was happening right at the beginning of the book, like at 20% a lot had happened already and I could already feel that the other shoe would drop and it would drop epically. I was really curious about Lance in the previous two books and couldn't wait to read his story. I knew that there'd be a lot more to him than his football status.
Lance was a football player in college that ended up following a different dream at the end. After not being drafted, he realized that football was his past time and boxing was his passion. That's when he started focusing on that and in trying to go pro as a boxer. Harper had a really big impact on that. She was the one to push him into it. Harper was a dancer. The football coach's daughter. She did not have an easy life. Harper knew she was not conventionally beautiful and for that, she suffered a lot in life, all this stigma and pattern of beauty made her suffer a lot. Meeting Lance was a "path-changer". He saw her deep inside, and they were more alike than either of them realized.
God, this book... It wracked my heart so many times. Especially with the playlist the author made. Each scene had different music, and with that on the background, it made the book so much more everything. It was crazy, I could really feel the words and whatever they were going through. Man, it was just breathtaking. Also, to finally know what Troy's fight in the second book was all about, everything made sense after that. I love how Kate connected everything. Anyway, this was just so breathtaking and heartbreaking. It was incredible. I loved it!! I'm sad to be saying goodbye to these characters but I loved meeting them. Incredible series....more

For those who read the series, you know all these characters and their situations. But for new readers, even though this one can be read as a standalone, you'll enjoy much much more if you read it from book 1. I love these characters so much. Each one of them has a special place and special stories to tell. He was a hero that worked quietly but suffered a lot with the consequences of carrying that much weight on his shoulders. I loved it. I could not put it down unless I absolutely had to.

In this book, we see Taylor and Hunter a lot more mature, even more in love and ready for life. After unexpected news, things will change and it was the thing that could break or make them forever. And I just have to say it was an adventure to follow these two again and to be into their lives again, it was amazing! I love this couple so much, it's one of my favorite book couples ever.
A couple of things that I think would've been perfect here were that Tawny and Sarah (?) (Hunter's friend) would've been a perfect couple. Also, I've liked to see more about Jos' friend, Hannah. I loved her in the previous book and I was curious if she ended up with that guy that I now forgot his name.
But, nevertheless, it was a perfect finale for this amazing couple! <3...more
