That didn't happen. It was once again a huge amount of story tightly jammed into a smaller package. Oh, it was super fun and the ideas and depth of the worlds we played in were excellent but it felt a little too much like a race sometimes. I really enjoyed the sprint to the end though.

It was a fun to revisit Alexander, Nog and Jake, as well as seeing some favorites from across different shows in a completely different setting. I hope the creative team gets another chance to tell Trek stories again, I will be there reading.

Like any collection of stories, some are better than others. They were all very entertaining but none of them were incredibly mind blowing. It was very cool to see IDW doing this series and I'm hoping we'll get another collection that lets a new batch of writers and artists tackle the TMNT.

Into the Dark Dimension completes the trilogy of Marvel: Crisis Protocol novels from Aconyte Books. I wanted to like this one more than I actually didInto the Dark Dimension completes the trilogy of Marvel: Crisis Protocol novels from Aconyte Books. I wanted to like this one more than I actually did. I was a huge fan of the previous volume which focused on my new favorite team, the Shadow Avengers. However, this one shift the focus back to Tony Stark as the others weave in and out of the narrative. There were bits and pieces where I was really interested in the story, particularly the interactions between Ms. Marvel and Spider-Man. I really have enjoyed reading these novels featuring the Marvel characters and while this one wasn't my favorite, it's great to see a big broad story like this confined in one (or maybe three) novels as opposed to a plethora of comic issues, or multiple movies. I will keep reading as long as they keep making them.

Whalen's Dynasty Restored: How Larry Bird and the 1984 Boston Celtics Conquered the NBA and Changed Basketball is a fascinating look at the 1984 team, their opponents and 1984 culture that they existed in. Whalen did an amazing job of delving deep into all of our "characters" and their biographies. At the height of my basketball fandom, most of the players found here were in the twilights of their careers and it was incredibly cool to read about them in their prime. I will definitely be checking out more of the author's sports books in the future.
