I didn’t want to put it down. The plot is original and while I thought I had it figured out, there’s definitely a plot twist I wasn’t expecting. It’s definitely a violent one so check your triggers if you have any cause this is sure to hit some. One of my top reads this year!! Loved the vibe!...more

It started off strong when Kaelin and Graham are in a plan crash and the only two survivors. The banter was building on a connection and the chemistry was hot. But when Kaelin is kidnapped by a group of military men, this is when shit gets CRAZY!! Sold to Kraven, Kaelin gets lucky that her first auction results in 5 days with the lesser of evils. Kraven is still an anti-hero. There is straight up grape and Kaelin has Stockholm Syndrome. But Kraven is something else! He’s all about pleasure but he is still 100% forceful and violent so if this bothers you, this definitely isn’t the book for you. Not to mention, several grape scenes with random guards in Kaelin’s new prison. But that’s nothing! Once Kraven leaves the Warren, Kaelin is stuck with her next “owner” for the week and Paxton has a thirst for blood. It’s gets so violent and will make you uneasy but there may be hope at the end of the tunnel. I loved the military men and their mission. Story was well written for a debut. Only a few instances where I noticed past tense and present tense used in the same sentence but wasn’t enough to deter me from reading. The story itself is addictive but again, very heavy on the triggers. ...more

Moronova and I’m so glad I took the chance. This starts off a little far-fetched but that’s what I loved most about it. Wynn is suffering from a mental health disorder with suicidal tendencies and is sent to an institution to get help. She meets Liam that is also suffering with his own demons and together they balance each other out. Now, this institute, Harlow Sanctum, is very unorthodox. So if you’ve been in an institute before, you’ll know this is not at all how they operate. BUT, if you hang in there with an open mind and can get past the craziness of the “rules” you’ll find it’s actually a great thriller with a twisted end that had me all in my feels. For starters, Wynn and Liam share a room, they can leave the grounds at any time, they can keep their medications in the nightstand, can wander the halls all hours of the night, etc. Like I said, not at all how a real rehabilitation center works. But it’s funny and totally off the wall so it made it enjoyable to read knowing that’s not how it goes in the real world. I was seriously engrossed in this book and couldn’t put it down. I loved the mystery behind it and how it all slowly started to unravel. There’s even a few scenes that gave me goosebumps from the creepiness. Definitely recommend!!!
PS: I purchased this in hardcover and this book is GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!
“It’s time to let go of the things that hurt.”
The fabric of our souls is thin—we’ve been wandering this world just to unite in this small corner of the universe.

My heart was in my throat through most of this book! I adored River and all that he goes through. Always being the carefree, tough-guy and staying true to his self. Rain has suffered the worst childhood imaginable and deals with his pain with anger. Two opposites. Enemies. Oil and Water. But River and Rain become so much more. Only the past catches up and they find their right back where they started, but with so much more to lose. This is definitely an angst filled read. I loved the plot and can’t wait to see what happens next!! Oh. And the Spice is most certainly Spicing! ...more
