My favorite part was how caring and protective Camden was of Oaklyn. Complete opposite of the wolf-ish exterior he claimed.
And it looks like this series is going to connect with the next one, can't wait to continue on with the characters. ...more

Because of that they're a little insta-love'ish. Jace is the quiet, intellectual brother that loves to read classics and keep to himself. Tara is the professional, his counselor for a brief period of time. Not a lot of drama, conflict, or fighting feelings between the two.
I'm going back and forth between listening and reading. Love the narrators but I read more of this one vs the first and maybe that's why I connected a little more with it.
Romantic suspense is a fave trope and this set hits on that while we uncover their background and what's going on throughout this whole series. On to the next brother!

It's been a while but I think this had similar vibes to K.A. Linde's Avoiding Commitment story.
I loved seeing their relationship progress, how sweet Jackson was to her with all of the little things he did, his thoughtfulness. Oh, and Julie is a bitch and I hope she gets what's coming to her.
Major spoilers, you've been warned. I need to re-cap this for my own sake to reference after book 2... (view spoiler)[ Emily is an indecisive, lonely, weak heroine that just wants a family. She doesn't care that her fiance is cheating on her and he only wants to marry her for money. She loves Jackson, the pseudo-brother, but he's a Navy SEAL that despite not being able to keep his eyes and hands off of her is adamant he never wants a wife or kids. Instead of her dumping Matt's cheating ass she lets him tell her how unloveable she is and he leaves her. Then she immediately runs upstairs and loses her virginity to Jackson. Matt's in an accident after he leaves, ends up with a brain injury and memory loss, she has to pretend she's still engaged for his health, goes on with her wedding day, all while she's secretly pregnant with Jackson's baby and won't tell him. TRAIN WRECK YA'LL!
Despite all this, it was a page turner because I couldn't wait to see how everything was going to play out and I immediately opened book 2 at 1 a.m. (hide spoiler)]...more

Ben and Kaylee have a one night stand and fall out of touch. Seven years later he's back in the states and ready for round 2.
I loved all the dialogue between the two and think it really helped feeling their connection. The epilogue tied it all together....more
