IN THE SEA. THERE ARE A MILLION THINGS IN THERE (5)
Everything is in it, either "cold" or "hot." Bird necks loose and white as omens. A way of classification gets at something exterior to the object but still has ties to it like an uneven cord. Oranges imply electricity. The giant hesitant squid is "cold," horses and needles as well as most glorified bottomfeeders. I promised you a million things in there of which I will be responsible for one. Everything written and given rise to which I have known. A purse is "hot." A wallet "cold." Shrimp and lampshades, a hundred pencils shaved in one direction, waves and waves and the wind.
Not the Porpoise Itself But My Relation to the Porpoise
Because my elbow is soft it is the pivot of which
I place, I place it on the desk of hard wood
and soft fiber — I can draw, yes, the porpoise (I can)
without knowing the looks or likes of it, as it
under rippled waters moves a muscle to me
and grinds my teeth and oils me, my mouth with the musk scented
flowers around the fountain and goes daily into action.
