What an emotional rollercoaster?! Though it starts out slow and a bit melancholic, it was real, raw, emotional and an honest story. It had me sobbing one minute then laughing the next. I loved Cassie. She was such a phenomenal character. I don't know why I went in expecting a cute romcom but this was a story focused heavily on Cassie’s healing journey and self discovery after the loss of her brother. I did enjoy her love journey with Vince(despite his unfortunate profession), although romance was an auxiliary plot.

An FBI agent, Sloane and a high school director, Olivia who meet when the Olivia finds money hiding in secret compartment in a house she inherited whilst doing renovations. Unfortunately, the plot fizzled out hard and fast even before the 50% of the book. Despite this, I really enjoyed both both main characters and their chemistry. I wish the story had focused more on them instead of introducing so many unnecessary secondary characters and social commentary about law enforcement and race that left a lot to be desired.
The ending also felt abrupt and unsatisfying, especially with a few unresolved issues especially with the car thief and Olivia and Lynn’s friendship. I think there should’ve been an epilogue to tie every thing up.
Overall, this was a decent read. A little slow paced for my liking but I did enjoy it. I might check the first two book in the series out since I didn’t about them when I requested it and I was intrigued enough by some cameos in this book about some of those characters.

I found myself deeply immersed in Pasha’s heartfelt journey. Her story resonated with me on a profound level, as she navigated grief and loss, only to emerge stronger and more resilient than ever. I felt as though I was besides her at her most vulnerable, experiencing every heart-wrenching moment of her journey firsthand. The pain of her broken marriage and losses was palpable, drawing me deeper into her world with every turn off the page.
And at the heart of Pasha's journey was her blossoming friendship and romance with Callum(Every girl deserves a Callum in their life….don’t let nobody tell you otherwise). His kindness, patience, unwavering presence, love and loyalty breathed new life into her weary soul. Their love story was a delicate beauty that left me captivated, rooting for them every step of the way as they navigated the complexities of trust and vulnerability.
As much as I enjoyed the romance between Pasha and Callum, what I truly loved about this book was its authentic portrayal of the healing process, as a nonlinear journey with both setbacks and triumphs. Through moments of laughter, tears, hope, rekindled friendships and unexpected connections, Pasha transforms from brokenness to wholeness.
Her story is indeed a powerful reminder of the resilience of the human spirit and the power of love to mend even the deepest of wounds.

So, Kaliyah and Danny meet, fall hard and fast in film school. It’s all sunshine and rainbows until... bam! Heartbreak city hits hard. Fast forward seven years, they meet again.Danny now a big shot film director and Kaliyah, who’s dreams have gone to die behind a receptionist desk. They end up working together on a film project, and let me tell you, it's like watching a rom-com unfold in real life. There's so tension, drama, and a whole lot of unresolved feelings.
But amidst all the chaos, Kaliyah starts to find herself again. She rediscovers her passions, her worth, and her independence and you can't help but root for her every step of the way.
But, of course, love's never simple and as old flames flicker back to life, Danny and Kaliyah find themselves at crossroads. They are faced with tough choices and even tougher conversations that eventually leads them to give love a second chance and to finally get their happily ever after.
I think overall, this was an excellent debut novel. I loved how real the story felt. The characters were amazing (inserting my favorite Bella here) and relatable (who knew Hollywood folks could be this relatable? Ha!). I loved that Danny and Kaliyah’s journey was so raw and authentic that you can't help but get invested. So, if you're in the mood for a whirlwind second chance romance with a side of self-discovery, then this book is definitely for you.

I LOVED IT!!!!
So we have Vincent, the dreamy and charming astronaut. He's all about exploring the great unknown, but underneath that adventurous exterior lies a guy who's dealing with some heavy stuff(the loss of his brother). And then there's Mimi, the sassy event planner who's got a bit of a grumpy facade, but deep down, she's sweet and selfless and is also dealing with some tough stuff of her own(her mom's battle with sickle cell). Now, when these two meet and in a stroke of fate (more like just sheer craziness), they decide to fake date each other and sparks starts flying. And let me tell you, watching these two navigate their way through fake romance and eventually real feelings is like watching fireworks.
I really enjoyed this story. Mimi and Vincent were such lovable characters. They were cute and sweet and their bantering was top notch. I loved how Vincent's sweetness and thoughtfulness perfectly complemented Mimi's sarcasm and independence which in some odd way created a dynamic that was equal parts hilarious and heartwarming.
And although the story tackles tough topics like grief and sickle cell, it’s also infused with so much heart and humor that you can't help but smile through teary eyes. So if you're in the mood for a feel-good romance that'll leave you with a goofy grin plastered on your face, this one is definitely for you.

It was messy(not the fun kind) and really hard to read. The story didn’t flow well, the characters were unlikable and borderline annoying. My sentiments exactly! Honestly I lost interest as soon as I realized this was not going to be a salacious ménage romance but rather a boring love triangle. I couldn’t care less about this girl and her love woes. The only thing that kept me going was the mystery aspect of the story. That and the narrator did a wonderful job.
