Kendall Ryan always does a great job writing sweet and steamy reads, but what set Junk Mail apart from some of her others is that it was pretty funny. This story had a lot of endearing characters and it kept a huge smile on my face.

It was a story about a struggling single mom named Wendy and her son Jackson temporarily moving to her family’s seaside cottage she has just inherited. She has every intention of fixing it up and selling it quickly to help them get back on their feet, but both Jackson and Wendy end up falling in love with the cottage and the town it’s in.
This was a sweet story and I enjoyed it quite a bit, but the ending was really abrupt and the proclamations of love came out of nowhere for me. The romance was unbelievable, but the story itself was otherwise good....more

The Fadeaway is the second book in Rebecca Jenshak’s ‘Smart Jocks’ series. I liked the first book, but this one… this one I loved!
Joel is the playboy of his basketball team. He’s rich, a player, and an all around great guy. And he’s got his eye set on the one girl who won’t give him the time of day. Katrina finds Joel attractive and would love to go out with him, but there is something holding her back… well, someone. She’s a single mom and full time college student and doesn’t have the time to date.
Joel is persistent if nothing else. He wears Katrina, or Kitty to him, down and finally gets her to agree to go out with him. I loved this couple together. I loved how Joel reacted to her having a son and how he interacted with him. I also loved how strong Katrina was, and how finding out Joel’s back story really gave us so much insight to why he is how he is.
These two have so much chemistry and their story had so much depth. It was much more than just a fun read (though it was a lot of fun) about a jock and a single mom. It had steam, humor, and most of all, heart. I listened to the audio book which was narrated by one of my favorites, Teddy Hamilton and also Summer Morton. Both did a fantastic job and it was an easy to listen to book.
This is such a refreshing new adult sports romance. As soon as I finished it, I jumped straight into book 3 because I couldn’t wait to read about Zeke and Gabby (Spoiler alert: I loved their book just as much as I loved this one) and I’m so excited to get to Nate’s book asap! I’m loving the series so much and recommend it to those who love NA/sports romance!...more
After reading the first two books in this series, I couldn’t wait to get to Zeke and Gabby’s story. I was so hyped for it and it didn’t let me down. I’m loving this ‘Smart Jocks’ series and I can’t wait to read more!
After taking only online classes for her first few years of college, Gabby is determined to get out there and go to school. Her best friend (Blair from book 1) has been trying to talk her into coming to Valley U since her freshman year. It was their dream to go together, but when Gabby got into a bad accident in high school, she changed.
She’s a bit more stand-offish than she once was, but with the Valley U crew that Blair and her boyfriend Wes introduces her to, Gabby starts to come out of her shell. She becomes friendly with Zeke, the quietest most hardworking guy on the basketball team. I loved the friends to lovers dynamic these two had. They brought out the best in one another and watching them fall for one another made my heart so happy.
Being with Gabby is like wearing my headphones except instead of music drowning out the noise, it’s her making everything else fade to the background.
Gabby was never part of Zeke’s plan. No woman was. He has his eyes set on the NBA and that’s it. His past has definitely shaped him into the man he’s become, but being with Gabby all the time starts to change him in the best way possible.
I listened to the audio version of this book and it was narrated by Jakobi Diem and Savannah Peachwood. They did an excellent job voicing Gabby and Zeke. This book made me smile, made me swoon, and made me fall in love with these characters. I’ll be reading listening to book 4 (Nate’s book) sooner rather than later.

The Assist is the first book I’ve read of Rebecca Jenshak’s and it won’t be the last. I love a good NA sports romance and this is a promising start to the Smart Jocks series.
Blair and Wes meet in statistics class. Blair isn’t doing great, and notices the hot jock sleeping in class. She also sees an A on a test that she almost failed. She’s convinced he has a good tutor and tries to get it out of him, only to realize that he’s just really good at math and stats.

I loved watching these two banter. Their relationship started out as a friendship/Wes tutoring Blair, but turned into so much more.
Two of my favorite narrators (Erin Mallon and Jason Clarke) voiced Blair and Wes, and as always, they did an incredible job. I could listen to them recite the phonebook and I’d be happy, but I especially loved them voicing this book.
I enjoyed this book a lot. It was entertaining, sexy, and fun with just the right amount of emotion. There was some drama and an evil ex, but aside from that it was an easy to read audio. I finished it in just a day or two and I can’t wait to read about Wes’s teammates! ...more

Trininty works from home and lives a relatively quiet and boring life. She's recovering from an incident, and everything is going consistently fine until her new neighbor shows up. Li Wei is her neighbor's nephew and a bit.. odd. Li Wei's behavior isn't quite normal and Trinity can't put her finger on it at first. She's very attracted to him, but soon learns he's an A.I.
What I loved about this book the most is that it kept me guessing. Things weren't what they seemed and there were several twists and turns I didn't see coming. At the start of the book, I felt like it was a bit of information overload, but once I listened for a bit, I started to get into the groove of what was going on and I loved it.
I've read some fantasy or paranormal romance in my day, but I'm not sure that I've ever read a romance with robots, but I gotta say- I didn't hate it. In fact, I enjoyed it more than I imagined I would. It was highly entertaining and narrated by a great multi-cast of performers, but primarily by Regina Hill, who did an incredible job. It was such a fun book to listen to, due to it being so fast paced and gripping.
Alyssa Cole is such a talented writer and truly can write in any genre. I hope there are more books based in this 'world' because I would love for some of these secondary characters to get their own book! Kennedy Riley and Riley Kennedy work for the same company, but have never met. They do happen to get each others emails quite often, though. Kennedy likes to send Riley’s back to her with his commentary, which she doesn’t appreciate. They finally meet at a Christmas party and Kennedy is far more handsome and charming than Riley could have predicted.

This audiobook was narrated by Andi Arndt and Sebastian York. They are another duo I love and did a fantastic job voicing Riley Kennedy and Kennedy Riley. They always give a great performance and this was no exception. I would recommend the audio version of this story.

Catalina King is a fixer-upper turned reality tv star. She's a hard worker and is always trying to use her fame for the good of others. She's determined to get her network to do a holiday special to help a town that really needs it. The town of Merry was hit hard by a storm and needs all the help it can get. Noah is the city manager and isn't thrilled with this idea. He's known for being a 'no' man and he doesn't love the thought of Cat and a bunch of cameras taking over his town.
Eventually, Cat wins and filming commences. All is going great, except for the fact that Noah and Cat cannot get along. He sees the worst in her, and she sees him as a stick in the mud. With time, Noah starts to see Cat's true colors. She's a really great person and selfless in a lot of ways. I loved watching Noah discover that on his own. It was a lot of fun to watch.
I listened to the audio book of The Christmas Fix and it was narrated by Natalie Duke. I prefer a male and female narrator when the book is told in dual perspectives, but Natalie Duke did such a fantastic job voicing the entire thing. The quality of the audio book was great, and it was entertaining to listen to.
This is the second book I've read by Lucy Score and I enjoy the way she writes banter between her characters. I love a good opposites attract/enemies to lovers story, and it really hit the spot for me.This book was sweet, steamy, and a lot of fun. A Very Large Expanse of Sea is a YA Contemporary following Shirin, a Muslim teenager. It takes place a year or two after 9/11. What was interesting to me straight away was the timeline. I was also a teenager during 9/11, it happened my sophomore year of high school, so I was essentially the same age as Shirin while all this was going on. My life, however, was very different.
Shirin's family moves around a lot and with each new city and new school, she finds herself subjected to the same racism and prejudice at the last place. Because of this, she's become hard. She's tough because she has to be. Shirin is American, she was born here and speaks English, though people treat her like an outsider- like a terrorist because of the color of her skin and the way she looks. It seems like her new school is much of the same, except for Ocean.
Ocean is a boy a year older than her in some of her classes. He is her lab partner and genuinely likes Shirin and wants to get to know her. It takes time, but very slowly he starts to tear her walls down. They start to become friends, but the attraction is there, too. Things aren't easy for them and as much as Ocean tries, they're just not accepted together by her classmates. It was heartbreaking to read about.
Through it all, Shirin stays brave, stays strong, and perseveres. I loved her and Ocean both. I also loved Shirin's brother, Navid and the rest of the breakdancing crew. They brought some fun and lightness to a heavy story and I loved how they saw below the surface with Shirin and all became like big brothers to her in a way.
This was such a powerful and important story. I listened to the audio book and it only took me a day to listen to it. I didn't want to stop once it was going. If you're looking for a hard-hitting YA Contemporary, I recommend this one. ...more
Make Me Beg is the fourth and final book in the Riggs Brothers series, and Julie Kriss saved the best book for last. Dex and Lauren’s story was by far my favorite of the bunch.
Dex Riggs is the baddest of the bad boys in the Riggs family. He’s always been the most trouble, and Lauren is his opposite. She’s a goody goody and responsible. In high school, they had one moment, but then life got in the way. Now, Dex is back in town and Lauren is recently divorced. They seem like the most unlikely of couples, but maybe they’re meant to be…
Along with the romance, there is also a bit of a suspense story-line in this book. We’ve all been wandering what happened with Dex and his job as a cop, well, we find out. I loved this couple together. Dex had Lauren bringing out her wild-side, and Lauren tamed Dex in the best way.
The epilogue of this story was the best. Not only did we get a great ending for Dex and Lauren, but we got a look into the future of the other three couples. I’ve enjoyed this series so much. These Riggs brothers are amazing and their women are fantastic. Each book in the series gets better and better, and the audiobooks are great. All four are narrated by two of my favorites, Joe Arden and Erin Mallon. They do an incredible job.
If you’re looking for a great series about a family of misfit brothers and the strong women they end up with, these are the books for you. They’re sexy, fun, fast-paced, and highly entertaining!...more
I love a good steamy and forbidden work place romance. Boss of Me is about a recent college graduate, Raquel, who takes her first job at Patton Fletcher's company.
Patton and Raquel butt heads at first. There is definitely a little bit of animosity there, but as they get to know each other and the more time they spend together, you can feel their chemistry sizzling. There is some work place drama, secrets that Patton is hiding, and some angsty moments.
I listened to the audiobook of Boss of Me and it was narrated by Lucy Rivers and Teddy Hamilton.They both did an incredible job voicing these characters. This was an easy listen and one I didn't want to press pause on. This is a complete stand-alone, but if you've read 'Stay' or 'Make Me Yours' you get a Remi and Stephen cameo which I loved!

Sienna is the head of the marketing department at Statham department stores and it's the perfect job for her. Especially at this time of year. She loves the Christmas season and the main department store in San Francisco is known for it's holiday decor. Everyone at Statham is a bit on edge, as their new boss, Winston Statham will be coming to work at their office and he's a bit demanding. Even a grinch some would say... but if anyone can warm him up, it's Sienna.
Winston Statham is taking over his parent's business since they've retired. He may seem a bit hard, but everything he does he does for a reason and he has a big heart. Even though he's a bit on the bossy side, he and Sienna click. I loved watching them get to know each other and seeing their attraction grow. They both want what's best for the company and work together so well.

One of my favorite things about this story was seeing the softer side of Winston that Sienna brought out. They were a great couple and I adored them together. I also loved all the scenes with Sienna's family. Especially her younger siblings. It was great, and honestly, this whole book left a big smile on my face.
This audio book was narrated by Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell and they did a great job voicing Sienna and Winston. This was easy to listen to, fast paced, and kept my attention throughout. I would definitely recommend the audio book.

I haven't read a book by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward in a while, but when I saw the cover for Dirty Letters I had to pick it up. I'm really glad I did, because I enjoyed this story a lot.
Luca and Griffin meet when they're children as pen-pals. Luca is in the USA and Griffin is in the UK, but through their letters, they become close friends and sort of grow up together. When Luca goes through a tragedy during her senior year of high school, her entire life is changed. Through all that, she doesn't only go through the hardest thing of her life, but she sort of ghosts Griffin and quits responding to his letters. Almost ten years later, the two happen to reconnect.
This story is a journey. We see so much growth in Luca, and I loved how patient and loving Griffin was with her. I also enjoyed the way that the heroines condition was portrayed. It wasn't something you see in every book. Andi Arndt and Jacob Morgan narrated this audiobook and it was a joy to listen to. I would definitely recommend the audio. I loved the chemistry and connection of these characters and I especially enjoyed their friendship, as well as their romance.
I loved the friends to lovers/pen-pal aspect of Dirty Lovers and it stands to be repeated... I really, really love this cover! This story had a great balance of sexy, emotional, romantic, and even funny at times. Another hit by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward! ...more
Though Stay is a stand-alone novel, it features one of the secondary characters I loved from 'Make Me Yours' so I was super excited to read it. Like 'Make Me Yours', this book has the single parent troupe that I love so much!
Stephen Hastings is smart, successful, and single. He's a great guy, but Emmy Barton has been holding a grudge a decade long... Now Emmy is a single mom to an adorable boy who suffers from a serious medical condition, needs help. Stephen has a solution. He wants to help, but Emmy is hesitant to let him. She doesn't know if she can get over their past and trust him, but she'll do anything for her son.
I loved both Emmy and Stephen so much. Emmy was a strong and independent single mom who was doing her best and Stephen was just the man she needed. I adored Stephen and I loved how he stepped up in Eli's life. Their relationship was the best. And that ending- sigh. It was great.
Stay is narrated by Lucy Rivers and Teddy Hamilton. These two do a fantastic job narrating together. I love both of their voices and the audiobook is high quality. She awakens parts of me I thought had long been dormant.
When I first started reading ‘Make Me Yours’, I thought… wow. This whole thing seems really familiar. It didn’t take me long to realize that Ruby and Remi are secondary characters from Louise’s ‘Make You Mine’ and one of the scenes was in both books. I was excited when I remembered this, as I loved Ruby in the previous book!
Ruby needs a job and Remi needs a nanny… Ruby isn’t looking to become a nanny but her current job just isn’t working out. And Remi is offering her a ridiculous amount of money to be a live in nanny and help out with his little girl. Things would be perfect, if only there wasn’t this insane chemistry between them that they can’t scorch. It makes things rather complicated.
I love single parent books, and the single dad falling for the nanny… sigh. I adore this troupe. I think my favorite thing about this entire book was seeing Ruby with Remi’s daughter, Lillie. It was perfect and made my heart so happy!
The audio book of Make Me Yours is narrated by Teddy Hamilton and Lucy Rivers and I would highly recommend listening to it. They brought the characters to life and Teddy Hamilton did an amazing job of not only voicing Remi, but surprisingly enough nailed both Ruby and Lillie’s voices.
I loved Remi, Ruby, and Lillie. I loved the family dynamic they grew to have. That aspect was so heartwarming. This was also a steamy and fast paced read that was easy to listen to. I am looking forward to reading Stay next as it’s Stephen's (Remi’s friend) story!...more
After reading the first two Riggs Brothers books, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on Ryan Riggs story. Single dad, baseball player, all around hot mess, I mean… come on. And his love interest is his nanny. I was so excited to read this one and it didn’t let me down.
Ryan and Kate met each other five years ago. They had intense chemistry and a one night stand neither one of them have forgotten. Since then, Ryan has been through a lot. His baseball career is on the rocks due to an injury, and he’s a single dad to seven year old Dylan, who was dropped off by his maternal grandparents a few years ago (Ryan has no clue he existed at that point) and Ryan needs help.
Kate applies to be Dylan’s nanny, and Ryan sees her for the first time in five years when she applies. Sparks still fly between these two, but now things are complicated… As much as Kate and Ryan try to resist each other, that chemistry between them just won’t let up. And eventually they’re bound to give in. It’s just, what will happen when they do? They have more to think about then themselves now.
The audio book of Work Me Up is narrated by Jason Clarke and Savannah Peachwood. It was a quick listen (I think around 5-6 hours) and fast paced. The narration was excellent and the audio quality was good. I would definitely recommend listening to this one. I hope the fourth and final Riggs book comes out on audio soon, because I can’t wait to listen to it!
I’ve enjoyed listening to this series so much. Though I still think Jace’s book is my favorite, this is a close second. It’s on the short side, but has a lot of heart, steam, and was highly entertaining!...more
