Ignore the age bracket. It’s an interesting read, the artwork is perfection, with a fast paced storyline and character growth. You’ll connect with Abel, and his very toxic home life. It’s a sad story and no child should have to feel disposable or unwanted. It is dystopian/fantasy.
As a reader whose normal stories are traditionally written words, I needed to grab this to remind myself how books should be written. I’m not becoming too critical reviewing.
Speech bubbles, their actions/sounds, with the visual effects are perfect. I wish more authors would grab a graphic novel to understand where they fall flat with show vs tell when writing. Graphics connect the action, while most attempt to achieve it telling the reader, not creating the visual a graphic novel does. Words can certainly do the same.
Loved touching base and reconnecting with a genre every age bracket should read....more

Bloodthirsty, dark, gritty and full of psychological torment. This is not a sweet or soppy reverse harem series, it’s a fantastic mafia read. My first re-read for this year and so worth it.
Gluttony = excess. In the case of Baxter Samuel Goddard, aka ‘God’, the emotional turmoil between him and Zemira, was certainly to excess.

Over indulged rich as sin, Z is everything he’s not. His other half, settling him.
Love this series. Gluttony however is probably my favourite in the seven. As always, beautifully written, well developed characters and storyline....more
I’ve adored this world so much. Ms. Cotton weaves an amazingly compelling, vivid cast of characters each and every time.
Matteo Bellatoni, finally met I’ve adored this world so much. Ms. Cotton weaves an amazingly compelling, vivid cast of characters each and every time.
Matteo Bellatoni, finally met his match in Caitlin O'Connell. His devotion to both friends and family, proving his book was well worth the wait. He needed a HEA too.
Caitlin wasn’t love at first read for me. Her past, her secrets, potentially damaging to the overly protective Matteo - raised to respect women, commitments, and to put himself last.
His story was always going to be it for me. Of the three cousins, his was the heart I always envisioned breaking the hardest.
Spot on Mafia read with all the angst you love from Ms. Cotton....more

I adored everything about this re read. From Bryce as strong female character, I’d go as far as labeling her an anti hero, with her partying and behaviour, my dislike of her as the story unfolded changed dramatically.
Typical of Ms. Maas, the world building is superb. You either love or hate it. I adore every step along the way taking time to create and enslave you in her universe. It’s necessary, while a big book isn’t for all, this was the first step out of a younger reading audience, I was hooked.
I fell in love with Hunt. Who wouldn’t as a reader who adores a broken character, watching them grow and over come.
The hardcover is superb. The attention to detail, reflecting the storyline, it’s a true work of art....more

Don’t go into this series believing you know what’s coming. You’ll seriously doubt your sanity by the end. In typical Ms. Jones fashion, this is one crazy, messed up world. There’s so much to read into it the further you delve every time.
The world is certainly not what you’d expect, the Romanian background and history provides an interesting backstory. Sons of Kiznitch might be the hero’s, but I needed more on them. They’re sitting waiting for their stories to be told. Their banter, Kyrin, can I choose a favourite? It was Kyrin first read, and once again this time round.
The characters, eye roll, I loved and hated equally. Hate sex, lots of it. It’s funny, lots of sex, no issues there, but I’d have loved a little more from the characters perspectives, in addition to the sex. There’s so much more to peel back with them, hidden layers I needed to see.
You can’t skim this. You need time and patience to fully comprehend where the story is taking you. Go in blind. Don’t read reviews, ignore hype. It’s truly an interesting read without anyone’s input. Dark is certainly well done. Themes are sensitive to some, so be warned....more

I was left heartbroken with Plucked. Going back re reading favourites, I just fell back in love with Quincy, King and Rome.
I thoroughly enjoyed the normality of their relationship. It was hard work, nothing came easy for them in either life, love or career. True devotion to their craft. Conflict, friction, jealousy. Everything we feel ultimate. Their story was beautifully entwined.
I loved King’s growth. Rome’s human failures. Their story feels real. Easy five stars. ...more

So addictive! Totally broken, having to deal with a Lyric again, Wolf stole my heart totally.
This author is talented, truly. Totally immersed in their world once again, I just needed to see Wolf survive. While both characters grew through the second half of the duet, I honestly concentrated on Wolf so much more. Who doesn’t love a bad boy hanging on by a thread.
If you love a good rockstar read, grab this! It’s Ms. Allen’s earlier work, I’m loving it as much as her latest releases....more

Amazingly dark, dirty and hot as heck once again. Ms. Fox has a talent with words and dark is her forte. I still have a girl crush on Viola. Perfectly written strong FMC, I can’t state how much I love her.
Dino, Lorcan, and Jude. Broken as, and still believable characters, you just want so much more for all of them.
This was too short. It ends on a cliffy. I just need book three now.
Content warnings abound. If you don’t like it dark, blood play and violent, it’s not for you. Read the sample before diving in. Love this series!...more

The book drags you in from the first page and sinks it’s teeth into you. It’s a hard read. Anything along these themes is, it’s definitely an adult read. Content warnings are there for a reason. This happens in real life, it’s not romanticizing things in any way, it will open your eyes however.
Sheldon and Keenan, are toxic beyond belief. He’s an a hole to the max, you’d not condone his behaviour in reality, however, this is a must read book. It shines a light on so many issues no one wants to raise.
Keenan’s treatment of Sheldon is beyond despicable. He’s certainly a creation of his environment, irredeemable, maybe.

I was truly lost for words with the sheer brilliance, thought provoking and gut wrenching emotion Ms. Ricci displays in her writing.
Cannon and Easton just surpassed my love of River and Rain. They’re a duet I’ve read repeatedly this year, and I didn’t think another book would bring forth that amazing feeling of loss and book hangover again.
I’m not sure if it’s the emotional connection I feel at present. I can empathize with them with what’s going on in my own life. I simply can’t do justice to this story in a review.
“Every piece of my heart. Every piece of my soul. I give it all to him.”
Read it. Love them. They will truly break you. This is written from a place of experience, of loss, it’s real and so tragically beautiful. To quote Easton, “I just need an anchor.”...more

High fantasy reigns, honest to goodness vampire grit, gore and bloodshed. Dark themes, smutty all thrown in - and a character in Gabriel you’ll love to hate. Violence and profanity abound, this isn’t a children’s fairy tale.
The internal hardcover formatting is absolutely divine. Bring on the next book!...more

Beautifully written, two souls literally colliding, I loved everything about Sawyer and Aiden.
This is far from an easy read. The trauma of Aiden’s life, everything he gave up in service, even the ability to seemingly function, is so carefully approached.
There are sweet moments, both happy and sad tears. Easy five stars....more
