You fall head over heels in love with Brody as he falls in love with Kacie and her Twinkies. OMG I love that he calls her girls Twinkies. This book was funny, flirty, adorable, gushing with cuteness over the twins.
I can not wait for the next one in this series. It could be considered a cliffhanger but I'm not worried one bit :)
I'm more excited to know there is more Brody to come and soon!!!...more

If your questioning taking a chance on this book, read the prologue. I guarantee if that doesn't get your attention nothing will. The first paragraph the words come off the page and wrap around you skin holding you hostage until the very end.
As I read, I'm telling myself 'this is so wrong, just so extremely wrong'. My mind is think this while I have a smile on my face.- What the heck is wrong with me!!!
Kate. Kate is married. Kate is a mother. Kate has a husband and kids. Robert, Kate's hubby and her girls father is a lawyer. Which means he's always gone. They live high on rich life. Robert isn't so bad, I actually like him... when he's there. The 'new' Kate that is around him has sparks flying, but it's because of someone else. Not Robert.
Kate catches the eye of Jaylee... a very young Jaylee. She doesn't deny the eye fuc-nection. She even goes wandering after him. Searching him out. Giving no thought having him over to her house.
"He still jumps around like a kid. This is why my children adore him."
Jaylee. Jaylee is 22, he is a kid-technically but the life he lives made him 'man up' so to speak. As you read most of the time you do forget the ages. Even Kate's age. She's 42. She is a married mother at 42 and her lover is 22. The only time you think of their age difference is when it's mentioned. That boggles my mind. They just want each other. Fair and square. No playing games. They need each other. No mater the shattered road that leave.
"All this that you fee...it's for me. Don't give it to him. Save it for me."
This book is a jet ride, flying through the air at super speed. So much happens. Seriously. So. Much. Happens. Things happen then time passes and a bump in the night changes EVERYTHING. I did NOT see it coming.
My first thought at rating Height of Desire I said a 4.5 star and I'll tell you why-the relationship (s) I wanted to see more of the real connection build between Jaylee and Kate. It's there internally, but with so many instant eye F's I wanted more but in all honestly it really fit the story. I believe it was more of a lust-I-must-have-you instead of long slow relationship building. Fire. Passion. Immediate.
The building came after.
But once I hit the end of the story, even with the cliffhanger that hit me hard in the face, I'm in awe. I was stunned. I was shocked. I am shocked. Floored.
Remember I said Robert is a lawyer...yeah what do you know about lawyers? They are some very smart cookies and boy oh boy Robert was a major role play husband/lawyer in Height of Desire.
"You're the one writing this story, Kate. You just have to decide if it's a story where love triumphs and perseveres. Or is it going to be a tragedy where love end in broken hearts and destruction?"
It made me rethink my thoughts, I went back and with everything that happened- I MEAN EVERYTHING. This really is easily a 5 star book. It had me grinning and smiling and gasping. Out loud saying 'Oh God' 'No freaking way'
It's not like I sat back read word for word with out reaction. I reacted. And even though I can say I like and or hate Jaylee, or Kate or Robert...I loved the story.
Now, the only ending thought I have is, I seriously need to read the next book. ASAP- but now I'm going back and read that prologue :)
