Rate this book
My Mini-Micro Mindset Manual is the first in an inspiring new series of accessible, must-read A-Z guides. The first in the series, due for release in January 2019, is for anyone who wants to know more about the power of mindset. Written as part of her own life journey, this powerful little book is packed with simple tips, ideas and supportive words, to potentially turn your life around. Neeta Oza is on a mission to show people that health and fitness is not something only available to those with buckets of money to throw around! This book is for anyone passionate about making a change to their life, their wellbeing and their health. Neeta works with many people who are fearful of health and fitness, meditation and mindfulness; because they think it's not for them. It works as an introduction for those who are new to the concept of mindset, but also as a positive addition to the lives of anyone already embracing many of the tips and advice contained within. As Neeta explains, the book's messages continue to guide, inspire and help her on a daily basis. "This is a manual, a reference guide, which I'm still learning from and always will be! I feel I've learnt from the very best. Certain close family and friends, my own experiences. And the incredible inspiration of speakers such as Les Brown, Marisa Peer, Jim Rohn, Mel Robbins, Zig Ziglar, Glennon Doyle Melton, Wayne Dyer, Christie Marie Sheldon, Earl Nightingale, Abraham Hicks, Tony Robbins, Gabrielle Bernstein, Gary Vaynerchuk, as well as many, many more." -- Neeta Oza, author of the Mini-Micro self-help series

"But always, always believe in yourself."

This book was kindly gifted to me at the Swansea Blogger Collective in exchange for an honest review by the publisher.
This little pocket rocket of a book is perfect for those who are interested in well-being and working towards a positive mindset. Blurbed by Mind, the mental health charity, it's easy to see why. This is an A-Z guide suitable for anybody and is packed with simple tips, ideas and supportive words. Neeta has written about everything from mind-boosting fitness, catching up on much-needed sleep and remembering to leave some love for yourself. This is definitely a book you can pick up whenever you need a reminder or even to carry around with you if you need a little help in a stress-filled modern world.

This little Pocket Rocket as Neeta calls her is a beautifully written A - Z guide that contain bite-sized tips, ideas and supportive words of positivity, that have the potential to turn your life around. I've already read this twice and I've only had it for 24 hours! It's either situated by my bed or it is travelling in my purse, incase I need it. I personally get quite a lot of anxiety when I'm outside my house, as well as lacking confidence. The little alphabetized advice contained in this book has already helped me to start my day with a more positive mentality. I've even bookmarked my favourite affirmations, personal things that I need to overcome. Including;

"Time is precious. Make the most of the time that is here now. Think about how precious every breath and heartbeat is. Don't waste your time on anything that doesn't bring you joy."

'My Mini - Micro Mindset Manual' is a complete game changer, powerful, everyone should have a copy so it's there just incase you ever need the words of encouragement that you may not find anywhere else. A healthy and positive mindset means a mentally healthy you! Obviously, I loved the book! It was released in January, I have included the purchasing link at the end of post. (*whispers* buy it!)

This is another one of the simple but beautiful books that i have read recently. The author has a simple idea, to share her thinking around key concepts of developing a positive mindset and delivers the ideas, wrapped around the alphabets of English language (A-Z).

The language is simple, thinking simpler and therein lies the beauty of the book. The book can serve as a quick reminder of the kind of mindsets that we need to cultivate.

This is a good book to revisit when one is going through a tough time or when one is sipping a hot cup of tea and enjoying the rain and at the same time fighting off the gloomy weather from entering our soul..

This is a pocket manual, a guidebook, a Jimminy Cricket prescence that can be kept in your purse/bag/back pocket and is full of affirmations.

Going from A-Z ,it aims to provide moments of clarity , a sense of grounding and an awareness of your part in a larger whole,

It is definitely coming with me on clinical placements as a reminder to destress oneself and remind oneself that actually, you are doing ok!

It will be the one self help/self care manual that I would not throw away in disgust at not making me magically ten stone lighter by eating a certain way or setting me on a path to enlightenment in 10 easy steps-what this manual does so well it reminds you that the power is within you.

You cannot change the actions of others, however, you have the power to change how it affects you.

Enlightening, uplifting and real, this is everything it says it is-a manual for your mindset

I picked this little book up from Swansea Waterstones where it was gifted to me through the Swansea Blogger Collective in exchange for an honest review.
This is such a cute and minimalist book, no fancy pictures or colours just black and white. I appreciated this because sometimes when you're having an anxious moment or you just feel like you can't cope it can be too much to have loads of sensory input. It's also pocket sized so can easily travel around with you ready for if and when you might need it.
Each letter of the alphabet is given its own heading like R is for Relaxation, or N is for saying No! Then there's a simple paragraph explaining how to use this prompt in your daily life to help reset your mindset. You could simply read through them all or just dip in and see which one suits your mindset that day. Personally i read each and every one so i know which letter to go back to when i'm having problems.
Overall this is a lovely little book full of positive prompts to help you live your life more mindfully for you and those around you and i will definitely be using it in the future.

Overall opinion of the book:

What a gem of a book and an absolute joy to read. My Mini-Micro Mindset Manual may not be the longest book in the world, but it doesn't need to be, as each page is so powerful. This book is uplifting and has helped me so much already. It's certainly one you can keep rereading when you need to inject some positivity and feel motivated.

If you're a fan of books like The Secret and ones about mindfulness and the Law of Attraction, then you'll definitely enjoy this book as much as I did. It's such a universal book that will appeal to everyone, in all stages of their life.

As the synopses explains, this book is a short manual that contains helpful affirmations. It contains 26 in total, for each letter of the alphabet. Every letter is helpful in changing your mindset into a more positive one.
While I enjoyed reading all of the affirmations, there were a handful of them that really resonated with me. One that particularly stood out to me was the letter N.

Being a introvert, I find an overload of social situations quite overwhelming and draining; yet more often than not I'll say yes to things when I want to say no, to not offend others. While it's good to challenge yourself and do more things, sometimes it's good to take some time out for yourself and recharge. I'm slowly learning that it's okay to say no to certain things, and there doesn't have to be a negative sentiment behind it. Sometimes saying no is more beneficial for our own mental wellbeing and thanks to Neeta's helpful words I'm putting this into action.

There are many more affirmations I loved too, but I won't include them all as I don't want to ruin the experience of reading the book for you, but the other letters I regularly revisit are: C, F, I, R and T. If you've already read the book you'll know which ones these are. 😊

The spelling, punctuation, and grammar in this book was flawless, and it was easy to read and understand. My Mini-Micro Mindset Manual is the perfect book to pop into your bag to read during the day or to leave on your coffee table for guests to pick up. It would also make the perfect gift for a friend or as a little stocking filler or secret Santa present at Christmas!

Final thoughts:

What's so great about this book is that you don't have to read it from start to finish, you can pick it up at any point and start reading it, especially if you've got a favourite letter. It's the perfect book to reread and come back to when you need some positivity and want to focus on your mental wellbeing. I'm going to continue to do this.

I would definitely recommend giving My Mini-Micro Mindset Manual a read. It's so helpful and I think everyone can take something positive from it, whether that's to encourage or support yourself and your journey through life. Neeta discusses all aspects of helping your mental wellbeing, such as fitness, relaxation, happiness, relationships with others and health.

One of my favourite things about this book is that half the royalties are donated to Mind. Mind is a mental health and well-being charity that provides help, information, counselling , support and activities for those struggling with their mental health. This is a charity close to Neeta's heart and it's fantastic that this book is also helping raise money and awareness to help others.

I received a #gifted copy of this book from the Swansea Blogger’s Collective. Thank you to Hashtag press, Swansea Waterstones and of course the author, Neeta Oza for providing me with a copy of this book.

This book is definitely mini and micro in it's contents. It was a quick read and nothing new. Not something I would buy, because I would want more to my book even for a small book.

"My Mini Micro Mindset Manual" is a very quick read, that - although there are only enough words to fill one, maybe two pages in total - I can still write a lot about.
I think whether one likes this book or not really depends on the expectations one has before buying or acquiring this book and also how much one himself wants to be immersed in the general topic.

The book itself is very minimalistic, what some may find inspiring but what I found to be too little content overall. I know it does say "Mini Micro Mindset", which already tells that there won't be 200 pages filled with self-help tips and anecdots, but one to two sentences for each letter in the alphabet just wasn't enough for me. Some might say the task is to figure out what exactly every individual person should do, but for me buying a so called manual I would at least expect a bit more information or details or examples or pictures, charts, whatsoever.

Therefore, I for myself would not buy this book, but I think for people with a minimalistic mindset or people that are practising minimalism or people who just want to read one or two sentences as a kind of motivational mantra after they get up in the morning this might be a good book.

*Received from the publisher in exchange for an honest review!*

This was a really cute, quick read but the experience left me with a bit to be desired.

I found the content to be too minimal to really enjoy and sink my teeth into. I understand that the author probably didn't want to distract from the messages in the book, but some graphic design or illustrations, anything really, would really bring this piece together. Something to make it a more stimulating and beautiful read.

The messages were also nice, but none really had me sitting and thinking about them. They were things I've heard a thousand times before. If you're going to write a book like this, there needs to be something to make it stand out.

Especially if you're going to be charging people for it.

Overall, this book was short and sweet, but I wouldn't reach for it if I didn't receive it for free from Netgalley.

You might think this is a bit out of character for what has been posted here on ACME Teen Books - Kids and YA Too! The reality is that according to the National Institute of Mental Health based in the US, about 50% of all teens between the ages of 13 to 18 will at some point struggle with the reality of depression or some other mental illness. They can benefit (as well as the rest of us in general) from some training and encouragement in ways to better focus our minds. So as a mom of multiple teen girls, I was so excited to get to read The Mini-Mindset Manual series and share what I learned!

I was lucky enough to read all 4 of her books: Business, Mindset, Fitness, and Self-Care. All are about 5" x 7" with an A-Z set up with little jewels for you such as:

” Y is for Yoga – Syncs your mind. Syncs your body. Revitalizes your brain and your balance. An assured way to get your breathing in check. Yoga is an ancient practice that focuses on postures, breathing, and meditation. With multiple styles of Yoga in our modern world, you will hopefully find a version that you feel at one with.” – My Fun-Filled Fitness Folio by Neeta Oza.

I found them to be easy to read and understand as well as very valuable and enjoyable. I plan to use them regularly and share them with the girls. The thing I love as much as the books themselves is the fact that 50% of the profits are being donated directly to MIND, the terrific UK based Mental Health Charity!

4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

* I was given these free review copies of these books at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

What a breath of fresh air! This little A-Z guide is packed full of tips and ideas to help with you wellness - perfect for someone who might be a bit lost at where to start. Each tip is simple but a nice reminder of things we can often forget help with our mental health such as smiling or getting a decent night of sleep. Considering it's compact design it's a good book to keep at hand for those moments when the world gets a little too overwhelming.

This is a wonderful little micro book! It is small enough to read in one sitting or you can read little bites each day. The material is relevant and helpful for anyone. I would recommend this for teenagers or adults!

The publisher provided an ARC through Netgalley. I have voluntarily decided to read and review, giving my personal opinions and thoughts

Not normally one for self help books, but I’ve read this a couple of times, it’s short enough to read in one sitting, or I can just dip in and out. Lots of great advice and tips and a personal reminder for me to try pilates. It’s a very uplifting read.
