My first blog

Twell and the Army of PowersWell here I go attempting my first blog. I thought it might be fun to share a few things about myself so you can get to know me. I hope to hear back and get to know you as well!

1-I'm 36 and live near the beach, in Adelaide South Australia. When I was younger, I moved to Sydney and thought success was all about living in the biggest flashiest city, with the most expensive rent, congested traffic and unattainable housing, I'd scoff about little old Adelaide (or Radelaide as the locals love to call it) Now I have come to love this city of lights. What other cities can get you from the beach to the hills and wineries in half an hour?! The food scene is awesome and plus did I mention the wineries. Enough said! Except that I really love wine.

2-After a years working in corporate I have had a total career change just graduated as an enrolled nurse! I never ever in my life time pictured my life going down this path. I'm terrified and excited all at once... leaning more towards terrified. I know it will be the hardest thing I ever do, but also the most rewarding. Plus it makes me sleep very well at night. (from exhaustion)

3-I love food. All the food. Especially Thai food. If I had to pick four foods to live on the rest of my life I would probably choose dim sims, cheese on bread with salt and pepper and butter, chicken snitty, and Thai noodles. As you can imagine, I probably would not live long on that island. Or die of scurvy. Anyways, I can out eat my husband, have been working on increasing my chilli threshold, and can go from a five star degustation to eating peanut butter straight out of the jar. (Must be smooth) To counteract all this eating, see the part re nursing-aka exercise!

4-I love nothing better than watching TV series back to back in a binge over a few days. I'm far too impatient to wait week to week for the next episode. My latest binge was '13 Reasons Why.' All I can say is yikes. I have concerns about that series. Has anyone else seen it and care to discuss? So disturbed by the last episode...

5-I have come of an age where dinner parties are far more appealing than parties. Heck, who am kidding, all I really need is cheese and wine and I'm one happy camper. Luckily the Adelaide Hills is a smorgasbord of cheese, chocolate and wine. I sound like I should be working for tourism SA don't I...Clearly, I don't regret moving here.
If you let me wear my ugg-boots over my jeans to your place, I will be your best friend for life. I draw the line at track pants and uggies though. For some reason that just goes too far.

That's all for now. Thanks for reading and I hope to hear back for you! Happy long weekend!
