Jumping: a Novel won Hampton Roads 2014 Next Best Fiction Writers Contest and is my first novel.

It has been categorized as spiritual, speculative fiction, and fantasy, and draws on my experience of growing up in a large household in which people saw ghosts, made predictions, and believed in the power of the unknown. It has been compared to spiritual journey books such as Mutant Messages From Down Under, an old favorite of mine, and the Celestine Prophecies, a transformative book for its time.

I have worked in, taught, and written about minority and under-served communities for more than twenty years and hold advanced degrees in communication theory and practice. I've always read and written.

I currently lives in Mountainair, NM, and enjoy fam

When I write, I'm allowing words and ideas to come through. They may have been knocking on my door for days, weeks or even years. It's a relief to let them in. I don't have to keep them if I don't want to, but I've had the chance to meet them and decide if they're working for the good.

How to know if you’re a drone

I feel the Pleiadians at the door . . .

We are the Pleiadians, come to call on Jane in her openness.

That’s all it takes. The openness, combined with the intent it be us.

She’s open to us because she’s a Pleiadian, and we’re her intergalactic cohort, riding the vast, impersonal forces of change right to her door.

From our view, the worldwide shift in consciousness is already well on its way. Consciou

“A woman has to live her life, or live to repent not having lived it.”

“Friendship ... is born at the moment when one man says to another "What! You too? I thought that no one but myself . . .”
C.S. Lewis, The Four Loves

Elizabeth Cady Stanton
“You may go over the world and you will find that every form of religion which has breathed upon this earth has degraded woman... I have been traveling over the old world during the last few years and have found new food for thought. What power is it that makes the Hindoo woman burn herself upon the funeral pyre of her husband? Her religion. What holds the Turkish woman in the harem? Her religion. By what power do the Mormons perpetuate their system of polygamy? By their religion/ Man, of himself, could not do this; but when he declares, 'Thus saith the Lord,' of course he can do it. So long as ministers stand up and tell us Christ is the head of the church, so is man the head of woman, how are we to break the chains which have held women down through the ages? You Christian women look at the Hindoo, the Turkish, the Mormon women, and wonder how they can be held in such bondage...

Now I ask you if our religion teaches the dignity of woman? It teaches us the abominable idea of the sixth century--Augustine's idea--that motherhood is a curse; that woman is the author of sin, and is most corrupt. Can we ever cultivate any proper sense of self-respect as long as women take such sentiments from the mouths of the priesthood?”
Elizabeth Cady Stanton

“The heyday of woman's life is the shady side of fifty.”

Elizabeth Cady Stanton
“Love is the vital essence that pervades and permeates, from the center to the circumference, the graduating circles of all thought and action. Love is the talisman of human weal and woe--the open sesame to every soul.”
Elizabeth Cady Stanton
