The world today...

I'm feeling strange this week, in between happy and pretty damn sad. It's super hot in New York City and a ton of both great and awful things have happened. I find it's getting pretty hard to speak my mind without someone close to me getting upset at how I really feel about issues in the world. More and more I'm seeing its best to say nothing, just get work done. Actions speak louder than words, g Read more of this blog post »

“There is much love in the world for those that claim their dreams.”
Nigia Stephens, A Time of Blood and Fire

“Sometimes, I'm brave.
Sometimes, I'm just stubbron.”
Nigia Stephens

“Writing the thing is the journey.”
Nigia Stephens, A Time of Blood and Fire

“Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.”
Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland

“Get busy living or get busy dying.”
Stephen King, Different Seasons

“The truth is not always beautiful, nor beautiful words the truth.”
Lao Tzu, Tao Te Ching

“Writing is the dragon that lives underneath my floorboards. The one I incessantly feed for fear it may turn and devour my ass. Writing is the friend who doesn't return my phone calls; the itch I'm unable to scratch; a dinner invitation from a cannibal; elevator music for a narcoleptic. Writing is the hope of lifting all boats by pissing in the ocean. Writing isn't something that makes me happy like a good cup of coffee. It's just something I do because not writing, as I've found, is so much worse.”
Quentin R. Bufogle

“Chocolate is a vegetable. Honest.”
Ashok Banker

WOW! That's so cool. I was to read a P. K. Dick short story collection of his for a book club last month so, he's been on my mind. I don't know why I join those things. I'd like to read along but I have no time to do much more than I can now. There is a documentary of his life on NetFlix I'll see soon. If you have not seen the documentary of Harlan Ellison's life, "Dreams with Sharp Teeth" on Net flix, YOU MUST! I have a picture of him with R. Bradbury hanging out together. They look like God and The Devil. Anyhow, catch that doc!

Dan's Thanks for the add Nigia ;)

did I mention that I had bought the original copy of Dr.Adder ( fuond it on a 2nd hand store) just after I posted that letter over to Ya -it has an after-word by P K Dick, who he depicts as a grumpy old man, seem sthat both of them were getting along, as regular friends.
And what is more the guy is in awe for Jeter!!!

Savannah Nigia, thank you for the friendship.
Stay naughty,
Savannah

Nigia Stephens Thanks, I'll check out your bookshelves and such.

About the photo, thanks! Ha! I wasn't board that day. It was a moment when I needed a new pic for my profile. I felt awkward about it. I'm a new author and have seen these great author pics set in studios. I knew my shots would just look like some chick at home. It wouldn't be anything special yet, I do like the image. For the life of me, I can't find the necklace in this photo. I'm grateful I took this pic before it was lost.
Thanks again for the comment!
