Hi Suzanne! I'm pretty much the same about my ratings but because I'm an author, I have to be careful about critiquing others. (People in glass houses...) If I can't give a book at least a 3 I simply mark it read with no rating but I will respond privately to friends who wish to know my thoughts on a book. I've greatly enjoyed Goodreads and have made some incredible friends here. I hope you have a great experience as well.

Thanks for the invitation. I am fairly new on Goodreads and have been very impressed by the interface and general design of the site. I look forward to making more friends who love historical romance. I looked over your ratings of various books. I like the fact that you save a 5* for the amazing few. So often a 4* is considered flawed. I personally start at 3* for a book I enjoyed and work from there. Anything I would not recommend a friend spending time on is given a 1 or a 2.
