In their review of his DVD Animals Rock with Lucas Miller, Booklist raved: Millers enthusiasm and passion come through loud and clear, and he relates extremely well with his audience, who not only enjoy the show but receive factual information.
Miller has enjoyed a lifelong fascination with nature, and in 1991, he graduated cum laude with a degree in zoology from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. The next year, he began blending music and science aboard The SoundWaters, an 80-ft. schooner offering environmental education programs for students.
Discovering a way to combine my passion for nature with my creative streak was a revelation, he says. I had the sense that this is what I was made to do and, all these years later, I still feel creatively challenged and fulfilled."
Lucas music is broadcast regularly on XM/Sirius Satellite Radios Kids Place Live and he has delighted crowds at The National Zoo in Washington DC, The Texas Book Festival, Austin City Limits Music Festival, and an untold number of schools, libraries and public events.
