FALL TV PREVIEW

Teacup: Yvonne Strahovski and Scott Speedman Face a Mysterious Threat in New Trailer for Peacock Horror Thriller

Fresh frights are coming to Peacock this fall, when the horror thriller Teacup debuts Thursday, Oct. 10, with the first two episodes.

Peacock has also released a second, very teasey teaser for the series — which you can watch above — along with a number of first-look photos. Yvonne Strahovski (The Handmaid’s Tale) and Scott Speedman (Grey’s Anatomy) star as Maggie and James Chenoweth, two members of “a disparate group of people in rural Georgia who must come together in the face of a mysterious threat in order to survive,” according to the official description.

James Wan (M3GANAnnabelle) will executive-produce the series, which is inspired by Robert McCammon’s 1988 novel Stinger, with Ian McCulloch (Yellowstone) serving as showrunner. The cast also includes Chaske Spencer (Echo), Kathy Baker (Picket Fences), Boris McGiver (Evil), Caleb Dolden (Single Parents), Emilie Bierre (Transplant) and Luciano Leroux (Yellowjackets).

Teacup defies easy labels,” Wan said in a statement. “It’s a genre-bending blend of horror, mystery, and drama, with layers that unfold like a captivating puzzle. It goes beyond chills and thrills and holds up a mirror to humanity, exploring the darkness that resides within us all.”
