HONORABLE MENTION: Judy Ongg
Judy Ongg has been a delight as cheerfully disapproving mother-in-law Noriko on Apple TV+’s sci-fi comedy Sunny, needling Rashida Jones’ Suzie with vicious insults while wearing a placid smile. Her grief over her missing son caught up with her this week, though, and Ongg was mesmerizing as Noriko acted out in outrageous fashion by shoplifting in plain sight at a local market. Ongg leveled an intense stare at the shopkeeper as Noriko brazenly stole a sweet treat, gobbling it down and practically daring him to call the cops. Later, she seemed utterly unfazed to be behind bars, only asking Suzie to bring her a board game to play with her cellmates. “I’d keep an eye on me if I were you,” Noriko warned the shopkeeper. In Ongg’s case? We’re more than happy to. — Dave Nemetz

There’s nothing there when you scroll down, except “More from TVLine” and “Leave a Comment”! Where are the honorable mentions?
If you’re using a browser with ad blockers, they aren’t showing up. That goes for some other articles as well where it looks like some content is missing. I use the Brave browser to look at this site due to the heavy amount of pop-ups and ads, as it blocks it. To look a the stuff that isn’t showing up, I’ll use a different browser and engage the reader mode.
Oh, okay. Thanks. I’ll just keep my ad blockers in place. Seeing who the honorable mentions are…not all that important. Not worth the spam (or worrying about yet another browser).
I’m going to need a Sister Andrea: Demon Hunter spinoff. Love her.
Perfectly put. D’Arcy and Cooke really drove the point home there again that Rhaenyra and Alicent and their dynamic form the beating heart of this show. Can’t wait to see what they bring to the table for season 3.
For Your Emmy Consideration, Andrea Martin.
A terrible poorly written scene. What is the love story? What are you idiots smoking there? Alicent ruined rhaenyra’s life, how much did you get paid for it? Rhaenyra has a husband and children, and alicent is a disgusting character. Have any of you used at least one brain cell? She wants to kill her son, whom she put on the throne herself.
Y’all need go outside and touch some grass. This culture of throwing childish trantrums, insulting and bullying people who dare to disagree with you, and acting like review bombing stuff is some sort of win when a pop culture product doesn’t give you exactly what you want is grating my last nerves. Please just grow up. And when a show, movie or whatever isn’t to your liking, consider finding something else to spend your time on.
Big fan of what House of the Dragon is doing there. It’s definitely this tragic love story at the core of everything. And love story in whichever light you want to see it, I guess. Friendship, family, the connections of being a woman in this messed up patriarchal society and there’s enough hints at romantic layers in the history of the characters as well. And the actresses portray it very beautifully.
