Frigates were a military class of starship measuring around 200-400 meters in length.[1] The pirate Q'anah's fleet included several frigates.[2]. The Chiss Ascendancy utilized Chiss frigates.[3] During the Clone Wars, both the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems used frigates, with the former deploying Republic frigates[4] and Pelta-class frigates. The latter made use of Munificent-class star frigates.[5] The Galactic Empire also used frigates including the Salliche,[2] as did the Alliance to Restore the Republic who fielded the frigate Promise and the Redemption, a Nebulon-B escort frigate which served as a medical ship.[6]
