What to Know

Critics Consensus

While it can be commended for refreshingly casting the reliable Dave Bautista in a romantic role, this otherwise tepid hitman comedy doesn't make many inventive moves on the board.

Noah Berlatsky Chicago Reader What really makes the movie is Bautista, who projects a comforting sweetness even while he’s snapping some guy’s leg in half, and an intimidating brutality even when he’s struggling to flirt by text. Sep 14, 2024 Full Review Peter Sobczynski RogerEbert.com While Bautista is still as engaging as ever ... not even he can save this dud from quickly devolving into 100 minutes of blood-drenched tedium. Rated: 1.5/4 Sep 13, 2024 Full Review Alonso Duralde The Film Verdict An action film with no thrills and a comedy bereft of laughs, The Killer’s Game plays like a tax shelter disguised as a movie. Sep 13, 2024 Full Review Matt Lynch In Review Online Becomes repetitive and everybody’s little gimmicks tend to lean a bit too much on the side of self-consciously goofy... But as with everything else in The Killer’s Game, it’s all playful enough to mindlessly enjoy if you’re into this sort of thing. Sep 19, 2024 Full Review Ruben Peralta Rigaud Cocalecas The Killer's Game is a classic action comedy, full of suspense, kicks, impalements, and motorcycle gunfire. [Full review in Spanish] Sep 18, 2024 Full Review Andrea Chase Killer Movie Reviews Tries so hard to be a frothy frolic through homicide and mayhem but can't find its way to that consummation so devoutly to be wished. Kera W This film resembles a mild version Kill Bill vibe, but with a love twist that personally worked for me with a mixture of camp, comedy, action and romance. I have been a fan of Dave Bautista since Knock At The Cabin and will continue to support a talented individual.
