David Blum is a writer and editor based in New York City. He is the author of “Hollywood’s Brat Pack,” which appeared in New York Magazine in 1985 and is credited with the birth of the Brat Pack. He was most recently editor-in-chief of Audible Originals, which he joined in September 2016. Before that, Blum was the founding editor of Kindle Singles, a store for original longform fiction and nonfiction launched in 2011. Blum has been the editor-in-chief of The Village Voice and NewYork Press. He was previously a writer and editor at The New York Times Magazine and a contributing editor at Esquire and New York.
