It's a good day for Stephen King fans and a bad day for repressed childhood nightmares!

On Thursday Max dropped its trailer for the long-awaited remake of Salem's Lot, based on King's 1975 novel of the same name — and there's even a moment in the trailer that throws back that now-infamous scene in the 1979 adaptation with the vampire hovering outside of the kid's window.

This new movie is written and directed by It writer Gary Dauberman, and stars Lewis Pullman, Bill Camp, Pilou Asbæk, Makenzie Leigh, and William Sadler.

Salem's Lot is streaming on Max from Oct. 3.
