In 2016, due to violating the Sokovia Accords and in the wake of the Avengers Civil War, Wanda Maximoff went into hiding. She soon reconnected with Vision and began a secret relationship, hiding in Scotland.[4][5]

In 2018, Wanda Maximoff and Vision walked through Edinburgh when they saw a SBN news report in a store window. The report showed the alien attack on New York City, which greatly unsettled Maximoff. Seconds later, Vision was stabbed from behind by Corvus Glaive, a member of the Black Order. As Maximoff attempted to stop him, she was thrown away by Proxima Midnight, another member of the Black Order. Glaive and Midnight then attempted to forcefully remove the Mind Stone from Vision.

A fierce battle engaged as Maximoff rejoined the fight. Vision and Glaive fought on top of a nearby church, with Glaive deflecting the Mind Stone's blast which damaged the streets and nearby vehicles causing one to become set on fire, while Maximoff duelled against Midnight. Maximoff was able to rescue Vision from Glaive and they attempted to flee, but Midnight shot them in the sky, forcing them to land violently in a nearby train station, where Vision and Maximoff were rescued by Steve Rogers, Falcon and Black Widow.

After Black Widow wounded Glaive, Midnight took Glaive and herself back into their Q-Ship, which swiftly left Edinburgh. Falcon and Maximoff then helped Vision up and Rogers took them to their Quinjet and left Edinburgh.[5]
Tiamut's Emergence[]
In 2024, an Eternal named Makkari ran through Scotland, passing by the Glenfinnan Viaduct while searching for the place of the Emergence.[6]
