Endorphina[1] (-ae, f.; verbum amalgamatum e verbis "endo[gena]" et "[mo]rphina") est peptidis opio simile et endogena, quae est neurotransmissor.[2] In Vertebratis a glandula pituitaria et hypothalamo per commotionem (sive vulgo excitationem) producitur,[3] scilitet dolorem, conditum cibum manducandum, amorem, et orgasmum.[4][5] Similis est opiatorum propter facultatem analgesiae et sali sensús producendi.
