Most of IndieBlocks’ “h-cite” blocks use some kind of fallback (i.e., the author
, if any, and title
tags) for remote pages that don’t support microformats. Some good ideas here on taking this just a bit further.

@jan Probably worth noting that … well, no, this should go in the documentation.
After you type or paste in the URL you’re replying to, or bookmarking, and so on, you remove focus from the input field or hit “Enter,” it’ll pick up this title and author information, right?
But then you can choose to still override it.
If you remove the title altogether, it’ll be replaced by the URL. Also, IndieWeb-style notes often don’t have a “true” title, so it may be intentional if the field remains blank
