He becomes Lori’s secret admirer and tries to win her with his original gifts. Andy was a youth pastor and ran a youth group. I liked some of the situations he found himself in with his youth group. Especially when the Senior Pastor tells Andy it would be good if he was married, and how everyone started matchmaking for him. Sometimes I wished Lori could have been more trusting towards Andy. She was quick to be suspicious and negative at times. I liked where Lori temporarily worked, at Andy’s aunts’ shop, The Chocolate Gator. I got very hungry for chocolate reading this story! This was a really sweet and heartwarming read....more

One day his aunt’s dog (poodle Jade) runs off and ends up at Bow Wow Boutique. Grant meets the friendly and attractive owner (heroine Molly Kent) who he finds warm and helpful. It seems like everyone in town stops by just to say hello to Molly. But Grant is a computer nerd and is only interested in his job, not a relationship (since one he had years ago went sour.) But will lovely Molly change his mind?
I really enjoyed this book. I liked the main couple, I thought they had a lot in common. Neither were interested in a relationship. Molly was hurt a few times in the past and is content to be the town matchmaker. But some of her friends try some matchmaking between Grant and Molly themselves. I liked a lot of the townspeople of Moonlight Cove, especially Molly’s good friend Phoebe, and elderly Neil and his dog Coco. Some of my favorite parts are when Grant and Molly visited the sick children in the hospital, especially little Katie who loved Jade. And I enjoyed the part when Grant and Molly helped out old Neil with the dog-door to his house and spent time with him watching football on tv. I also liked how the book took place around Christmas.
Enjoyable festive read by Lissa Manley with some nice secondary characters....more

(The same place his father was murdered fifteen years ago.) While he is there, he gets to know Josie Markham (a pregnant widow doing volunteer work at the boys ranch). Heath likes helping Josie around her ranch and he thinks she’s a kind and wonderful person, but he doesn’t want to get involved with anyone since his job is a dangerous one and he worries how his loved ones would cope if something happened to him (like his father, who also was a Texas Ranger). But can Heath resist Josie and the friendly people at the boys ranch?
This was a nice and pleasant read. I liked the main couple (Heath and Josie), and the boys at the ranch. I enjoyed the bit of mystery in the story with Heath still trying to solve his father’s long-ago murder. (Since they never found out who shot his dad). It was sweet how Heath got on with the boys at the ranch and how he was trying to teach them a bit about being a ranger. They all looked up to him. I also liked the surprise the boys had for Heath towards the end of the book. The story took place around Thanksgiving.

September has been numb inside since her fiancé Tim died, but suddenly Mark is making her come alive again with his kindness. Will September be able to love again?
This was a very sweet and heartwarming read. Mark was such a wonderful hero, so kind and thoughtful. He was also hurt by his best friend's death. It was nice seeing September come out of her shell and start looking forward to life again. The two made a great couple. The book was somewhat sad at the beginning while September is dealing with her loss, but very uplifting by the end. This story takes place around Christmastime. I thought it was sweet how Mark helped September out around her house and with her Christmas decorations. And I enjoyed their trip to the mall for presents and the wishing tree.
Heroine Bethany Marlow comes back to her old hometown (Treasure Creek, Alaska) to open her own wedding planning shop. While she is getting settled in,Heroine Bethany Marlow comes back to her old hometown (Treasure Creek, Alaska) to open her own wedding planning shop. While she is getting settled in, her old friend and ex-boss Amy James asks Bethany if she could lead a wilderness tour, since Bethany used to be a guide. As a favor to her friend, Bethany agrees. Anyway, she always enjoyed being a wilderness guide in the past. Bethany isn’t very happy to learn that her ex-boyfriend (rancher hero Nate McMann) has also been asked to lead the tour. (Nate broke up with Bethany almost ten years ago but he is still in love with her. He had found out that he couldn’t father children, and knowing Bethany’s wishes for a family, he let her go without telling her.) Now they are thrown together on a tour for five days in the Alaskan wilderness. Will their old feelings resurface again?
I really enjoyed this book. I loved the setting, in the Alaskan wilderness, and the guided tour. It was fun. l liked the two couples that went on the tour. A newlywed couple, and a couple with a cute little seven-year-old boy, Cody. Cody was quite a handful. It was nice seeing Bethany and Nate clearing up their misunderstandings and finally getting their happy-ever-after.

Logan becomes guardian to his two ten year old nieces when his sister dies. They need a tutor so Logan hires Sandra, a stained glass artist and aspiring teacher who is between jobs at the moment. The girls hit it off instantly with Sandra and decide to do a little matchmaking. I really loved Brittany and Bethany, the twins. They were adorable. I don’t read many books with “matchmaking” children so this was something different for me. The book also had a cute ending!...more
