If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Curly fury requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Mr. Vernon (talk) 16:56, 1 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Curly fury. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Click here to contest this speedy deletion, which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. That you did it under an IP instead of your username fools no one. Mr. Vernon (talk) 17:16, 1 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed you added a link to an image on an external website to Curly fury, possibly in an attempt to display that image on the page. For technical and policy reasons it is not possible to use images from external websites on Wikipedia. If the image meets Wikipedia's image use policy, consider uploading it to Wikipedia yourself or request an upload. See the image tutorial to learn about wiki syntax used for images. Thank you. —Darkwind (talk) 18:18, 1 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion

[edit]

We've not got anything against you or the band. It's just that Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia, and encyclopaedias are for the here-and-now (and quite often the long-past-it...). They are not for the up-and-coming. Please read WP:BAND. Also, please read WP:RS about the reliable independent sources we require to show that the claimed notability or significance is real. Not forums, blogs, the band's site, the band's record label's site, the band's agent's site, the band's agent's girlfriend's site, wikis (including this one), MySpace, Twitter, Youtube - or anything else either connected to the band or editable by visitors. You might find an article (or three) that doesn't comply with this. There are millions of articles. We catch up with most, and they can't be used as an excuse for any other article to be added. When you're no longer up-and-coming but arrived, get the references together and contact an admin about getting the title unprotected. Without the references, it would be a waste of time. Trying yet another title could lead to you being blocked from editing. I don't want to do it - but you're in the danger zone already. Please be told. The article has been deleted by four or five administrators. Do you really think another attempt at this time is going to work? Anyway, good luck with the band and the album.
