Young Stan

[edit]

I checked based on the Gravity Falls Wikia, unfortunately Stuart Allen ("Stuart Allan" misspelled) is only credited under "Additional voices" in "Dreamscaperers". However, in "A Tale of Two Stans", Declan J. Krogman is explictly credited as "Young Stan". nyuszika7h (talk) 15:17, 21 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

With an official credit looks solid but ep should be cited where that credit appears if info added to this article. Geraldo Perez (talk) 15:31, 21 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Lost legends characters

[edit]

Hi, I am new on Wikipedia, but I noticed a small error. I noticed that the additional mabels from lost legends on this list have a voice actor, but lost legends is a book, not a show. I just wanted you to know that Liamcritisizes 42 (talk) 20:24, 11 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Bill Cipher page

[edit]

I really think that Bill Cipher should have his own page on Wikipedia. Not only was he the true main antagonist of the show, but he's also grown beyond that and into kind of an icon and spread off into several other shows such as Rick and Morty, Ducktales, The Owl House and probably others that I don't know about.

I really hope that somebody will take note of this and do the right thing.

Support, This demon is more then notable and has tons of articles to back him up for a standalone article LittleMAHER1 (talk) 03:47, 3 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Support. Bill Cipher is definitely notable on his own outside of the show. DecafPotato (talk) 17:00, 23 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
He is definitely prominent enough to warrant his own page. UnderestimatedMonkey47 (talk) 21:15, 15 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Support. He is most certainly notable enough, for reasons already mentioned here. –CopperyMarrow15 (talk) 23:54, 17 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Support. I just think he should have an article. Theobegley2013 (talk) 05:50, 10 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Bill Cipher Merge Discussion

[edit]

Bill Cipher's article recently sprung up, and I don't see why this article needed a separate split. His Reception section composes of one very good source (A MovieWeb source) two minor bits, and two listicles, the latter two only covering him in terms of plot summary and personality overviews. The rest of his Reception discusses The Book of Bill, an entirely unrelated subject barring Bill being its main character. Notability of Bill is not inherited from The Book of Bill and vice versa unless the sources can explicitly state that they have directly impacted Bill's notability specifically, which they do not state, as they have only been stated to have impacted the Gravity Falls fandom. From a search, they do not seem to say anything more than what's currently in the article.

My main issue, however, lies in how this information can be covered rather easily at the current target article. Per Wikipedia:NOPAGE, "Sometimes, several related topics, each of them similarly notable, can be collected into a single page, where the relationships between them can be better appreciated than if they were each a separate page." In Bill's case, I think this is definitely the case. The information in Bill's article is easily mergeable back to the list without causing issues of Wikipedia:UNDUEWEIGHT. A casual reader is benefitted more by being able to read about Bill alongside several associated characters, rather than having to go to a separate, unnecessary split-off.

As someone who's familiar with this character, I hoped to have been able to expand the information currently presented, but there's very little sourcing discussing him beyond what's currently at his article. I've done multiple searches, and repeatedly stumbled on breadcrumbs. This subject is at best marginally notable, and even when this article has been made, it's so small and easy to summarize that it can concisely be covered at the current list entry. I understand this character is rather well-known in internet culture, but that popularity needs to be backed by a number of sources that verify and prove the subject is, in fact, notable beyond the scope of his parent series. While we can make assumptions about his popularity, those assumptions are baseless and fall under Wikipedia:No original research. Strictly adhering to policy, this page is better off merged back into this one, with no opposition to a recreation in the case of more sources being discovered. Do let me know your thoughts below. Has one ever considered Magneton? Pokelego999 (talk) 04:26, 7 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Merge. Looking at both articles, i agree with your points. Bonus Person (talk) 00:05, 8 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
