Margaret Catherine "Rena" MacDonald (April 3, 1907 – November 16, 1958) was an American athlete. She was born in Nova Scotia, Canada. Her family moved to Massachusetts in 1910 and lived in Dedham. MacDonald became a naturalized US citizen in 1925.[1] She joined the Boston Swimming Association and competed in swimming and track and field events.

MacDonald won three AAU outdoor titles: shot put in 1929–30, and the discus in 1929, as well as AAU indoor shot put titles in 1927 and 1929–34.[1]

She competed in the women's discus throw at the 1928 Summer Olympics.[2]

MacDonald set a world record in winning the shot put at the 1934 USA Indoor Track and Field Championships.[3]
