Categorization of Skin Diseases

[edit]

Skin conditions should be categorized according the the scheme developed at WP:DERM:CAT. kilbad (talk) 00:44, 3 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Is this a category for the phakomatoses?

[edit]

Neurocutaneous syndrome redirects to Phakomatosis, a class of congenital neurologic disorder associated with skin findings (for example, tuberous sclerosis, neurofibromatosis, Sturge-Weber). In neurology a "neurocutaneous condition" refers to one of these conditions.

What this category currently looks like is an indiscriminate list of sensory neuropathies, psychodermatology, and pain syndromes.

Either the category needs to be renamed something else (pain syndromes, psychodermatology), or all of these items should be un-listed and a blurb posted at the top of the page defining what a neurocutaneous syndrome is. --Gccwang (talk) 06:15, 8 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
