Synopsis for "Queen Clea's Tournament of Death"
Steve Trevor has been sent on a mission to recover the notes of the slain Allied chemist Van Vlek who was working on a knock-out drug that could be administered to a group as a gas. When seeking the last part of the notes he runs into a snag when he learns the man Vlek trusted with it was recently robbed and murdered. Later that night the murderer reveals themselves to Steve, and says that the man had turned traitor. To his surprise she claims to be a queen named Eeras, and hands over the last piece, asking only for a ride home in return.
Said ride turns out to be more complicated than Steve expected as her small kingdom is part of Atlantis, sunken under the ocean, and her directions are made to ensure Steve's aircraft will get caught in a downdraft that will pull his plane through a hole in a small uncharted island leading to a large cavern hidden by the waves. Unfortunately they are captured by warriors of Queen Clea's upon landing and enslaved. Wonder Woman arrives looking for Steve and frees Eeras from the dungeon, but Steve has already been taken to an arena to be killed for Clea's entertainment. While Wonder Woman helps him survive the beasts of the arena Clea's warriors surround them and the couple are outmatched until Eeras arrives with more of her people, having used the notes Steve gathered to make Van Vlek's Devitamizer gas.
