Daniel Fienberg Hollywood Reporter Olson represents this series’ high potential. Everything else needs to catch up with her. Sep 18, 2024 Full Review Aramide Tinubu Variety With Olson leading the charge and skillful actors backing her up, the series is perfectly adequate formulaic television. Sep 17, 2024 Full Review Nina Metz Chicago Tribune “High Potential” struggles to ground itself in solid storytelling and create fully realized characters, even when they are one-offs. Rated: 2/4 Sep 16, 2024 Full Review Joel Keller Decider High Potential rides on how appealing Kaitlin Olson is as the show’s lead, with an assist by the ever-reliable Judy Reyes. Are the mysteries any good? Probably not. Sep 18, 2024 Full Review Sherin Nicole RIOTUS High Potential is a 'bag of chips' type of show—salty, crunchy, and makes you want to keep going...It has humor, creative crimes, and a sassy kind of sauce. Sep 16, 2024 Full Review Rob Owen Pittsburgh Tribune-Review Sometimes all it takes is the right casting to make a show that on paper sounds “meh” turn out so much better. That’s the case here thanks to the likeable lead performance by Kaitlin Olson. Sep 16, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

Pamela H I love, love, love this show. Kaitlin Olson is so perfect in this role. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/19/24 Full Review Oxalis G This is a copy of a French TV show by the same name. Everything is very similar to the original french tv show, but Katie Olsons character is lacking. First episodes storyline is almost identical the the original French tv show, but it's missing the comedic aspect, which is what makes the French show excellent Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/19/24 Full Review P C Yes!!! Daniel “Italian Stallion” Sunjata is BACK!!!! What a great actor, perfectly matched with Olson!! This show will definitely be a hit!! Funny, witty and entertaining!!! Loved it Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/19/24 Full Review Mike S Yeah so there's definitely a few flaws... empty LAPD police station at night except for the cleaner, etc... But this show is well written and Kaitlin Olson is perfect for the part. I think at some points the actual crime seems to take a backseat to her intelligence. You're trying to keep up with how she figured it out that you don't really care about the people who were killed you're just enamored with her intelligence. It's certainly a breath of fresh air from most police procedurals and that's a good thing. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/19/24 Full Review Peter K Although there were a few flaws; Kaitlin Olson nailed it! This series is off to a great start. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/19/24 Full Review Xsi K Watchable, mostly thanks to Olson, but pretty dumb. To make Morgan seem smart, the police have to be basically incompetent (apparently, they never checked for crime scene videos, their coroner couldn't tell that a body had been frozen and then thawed, they hadn't interviewed ANY people of interest yet, and apparently nobody in the entire LAPD works the night shift). At the same time, while some of Morgan's observations were on point, others were basically just utterly random guesses that of course prove to be correct every time. The dialogue is weak, the lead detective is (so far) a terrible actor, and Morgan should already be in jail multiple times after a single episode. The show does have some potential, again largely on the strength of Olson and in the vein of all the other obnoxious geniuses we've had series built around in the past, but this was a pretty shaky start.
