Wikimedia New York City invites you to attend its monthly WikiWednesday Salon on Wednesday, November 30, from 6:30 pm - 8:00 PM ET. The event will be hybrid, with in-person at Brooklyn Public Library by Grand Army Plaza, in the Central Library's Info Commons Lab. No experience of anything at all is required. All are welcome!

We are proud to announce that monthly pizza has returned!

All attendees are subject to Wikimedia NYC's Code of Conduct. In addition, to participate in person you should be vaccinated and also be sure to respect others' personal space, and we may limit overall attendance size if appropriate. Brooklyn Public Library encourages the wearing of masks when indoors, and especially be mindful of those in your proximity.

Sorry, I'm simply not clear about that. --Sm8900 (talk) 23:52, 30 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • 1)Can anybody else find more images of this bus? Because if not, I'm going to have to redirect the category.

(talk) 13:09, 30 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Can you please clarify what you mean about "the category" as the image is not a member of any category.
--CmdrDan (talk) 21:21, 30 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The category is "General Motors TDH-5106 (7144)." This category only has that one image. -------User:DanTD (talk) 00:04, 1 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Is this article a part of a larger project?

NYC, Biography, and Marketing and Advertising. -------User:DanTD (talk) 00:05, 1 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Here's a simple google query that gets some hits:

Challenge: Update wiki page with current data

[edit]

My question: Discuss and enumerate strategies to update the members of this library consortium: The Oberlin Group of Libraries

[edit]

The consortia website says there are 84 members, but the list on the wiki page--which is sourced "2021" contains 86 institutions--Two Too Many.

https://www.oberlingroup.org/about-oberlin-group

The consortia list of members:

https://www.oberlingroup.org/group-members

The wiki article with too many members:

Oberlin Group of Libraries wiki page

Here's the challenge: Using the fewest keystrokes identify the two errant institutions and remove them from the list.

Extra Credit: Enumerate strategies to maintain/synchronize this data.

For your convenience I have created a google sheet that contains the institutions from the two sources above:

(The last 30 minutes is dedicated to small group discussions. Breakout room topics may arise during the course of other discussions, but feel free to propose one in advance, too!)
