The Overground was a concept relating to Underground culture. It was put forward by some of the Alternative press on the UK underground in the late 1960s and early 1970s as an alternative to the underground scene of the time. The Overground was supposed to be differentiated from the Underground by a greater interest in spiritual paths and less interest in materialistic politics.
