Not sure which new releases to check out? Let us here at Decider help you figure out what to watch this weekend and where to stream it.
New Movies & Shows To Stream This Weekend: A Gentleman in Moscow, STEVE! (martin. a documentary in 2 pieces), We Were the Lucky Ones + More
Ewan McGregor stars as an aristocrat forced to live out his life never seeing the outside world in the new Paramount+ with Showtime limited series A Gentleman in Moscow. Over on Hulu, the Holocaust drama We Were The Lucky Ones, which depicts the nightmares that befall a Jewish family in Poland during the war, premieres this week, too. And on Apple TV+, you can catch the new two-part documentary about Steve Martin, STEVE! (martin. a documentary in 2 pieces), with both parts available to stream today.
Now on Paramount+ with Showtime March 29: A Gentleman in Moscow
Ewan McGregor stars as Count Alexander Rostov in the new Paramount+ with Showtime series A Gentleman In Moscow, alongside his real-life wife Mary Elizabeth Winstead. The 8-episode limited series is based on the 2016 Amor Towles book of the same name, about a Russian count who is spared execution after the Russian Revolution, but is forced to live under house arrest for decades in the attic of an opulent hotel. New episodes will drop on Fridays until May 17.
New on Hulu March 28: We Were The Lucky Ones
Hulu’s We Were The Lucky Ones is another work of historical fiction based upon a novel; this series stars Joey King and Logan Lerman as members of a Polish Jewish family torn apart during World War II. The first three episodes of the series, which is executive produced by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, will premiere Friday, with new episodes coming out weekly thereafter.
New on Apple March 29: STEVE! (martin. a documentary in 2 pieces)
STEVE! (martin. a documentary in 2 pieces) is, true to its name, a documentary about legendary comedian Steve Martin, told in two distinct parts, one looking at his early life as a struggling young comedian, and one told from a current-day perspective. Martin himself reflects on his comedic style, his anxiety, and of course, his banjo, with friends like Martin Short, Jerry Seinfeld, and Tina Fey also weighing in on the importance of his legacy.
