‘The Little Hours’
No, this isn’t a remake of The Hours set in miniature, as fun as that movie would be. Instead, a handful of the finest comedic actors working today teamed up to make a movie about horny, angry, foul-mouthed nuns at a remote convent in the Middle Ages. Alison Brie, Aubrey Plaza, and Kate Micucci star as a trio of nuns whose life at the convent is upset by the arrival of Dave Franco as a sexy runaway masquerading as a deaf mute. The farce that ensues is punctuated by spectacular vulgarity that has no concern for appropriate time periods, and with the likes of Molly Shannon, Fred Armisen, Jemima Kirke, and John C. Reilly joining the fray, the result is both ridiculous and infectious.
