‘Jack Of All Trades’
The 1980s and 1990s were the boom times for the baseball card industry. Manufacturers made millions by flooding the market with product, thousands of trading card shops opened across the country, children begged their parents for a subscription to Beckett Monthly, and nary a weekend went by where collectors didn’t gather at trade conventions both large and small. Then came the crash. Jack Of All Trades is a compelling documentary that focuses on one man’s relationship to his (now worthless) baseball card collection and, more importantly, his philandering father that instilled the love of card collecting in him.
