‘Everything Now’
Everything Now is just the latest thoughtful teen drama that Netflix has imported from Great Britain, but it’s potentially most interesting as a showcase for Sophie Wilde. Over the last year, Wilde has dazzled audiences in everything from Masterpiece‘s spring romantic comedy Tom Jones to the A24’s latest horror hit Talk To Me. Everything Now gives Wilde yet another project to prove her mettle as a superstar on the rise. Wilde stars as Mia, a teenager just getting out of a seven month in-patient rehab program for an eating disorder. While Mia was working on regaining her mental and physical health, her friends went through some major adolescent milestones. Namely everyone lost their virginity. Everything Now uses Wilde’s charm, pathos, and wit to underscore how terrifying being a teenager is…especially one who feels out of the loop.
